Reaction to our CSK loss yesterday:

 

We've made an unhealthy habit of it. Last 6 games against CSK have been losses.

 

Batting: Ro Sha has to click.  We are a very insipid side otherwise. But I think this side can somehow muster around 150-160 on all pitches.

 

Bowling: Utterly toothless. Didn't look like threatening the CSK batsmen. And they aren't that good either. Props to Vignesh but the rest of them look dull. 

Trent Boult, for all his hype, didn't do anything of note. Need Bumrah back desperately to stand a chance of getting into the final 4.

 

What is with MS  Dhoni batting so deep down the order? That killed our chances. If he batted at 4 down we may have still won this one.

That batting has decent depth with Pandya, they lost their way during the middle overs yday that is the main reason they lost. Otherwise they made CSK sweat a bit to chase that score.

I am not too worried about the batting. In addition to Pandya's return, at some point Ro Sha will find his mojo.

 

Its the bowling that is a .

Trent Boult, Santner & Pandya are simply not an IPL winning attack.

 

Need an attacking spinner. A Bishnoi, Noor or Rashid Khan. Santner contains.

Need a wicket taking bowler like Bumrah or Malinga.

Trent Boult is probably glad that the only match on slowest wicket in IPL is done. He will pick wickets elsewhere.

With the kind of halwa bowling that we have even if Thala comes as opener, it might not help us win.
