maniac Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 High quality on his day. I feel unfortunately he is still most reliable than every Shami, Siraj etc in this format. Shami maybe slightly ahead if he still has that World Cup form. however he is probably the only reliable guy in all phases of the game on a good day. will get hate for this but it is what it is. Isn’t it obvious? Ultimate_Game 1
Jamadagni Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 No, He is NOT. The first over he bowled in the semis t20 wc 2022 will be etched in my memory forever. It's not just about getting hit; he looked meek; fkcing coward bastard.... Lord and rollingstoned 1 1
TellTheTruth Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Nah, he was exposed in the 2022 T20 world cup. Couldn't pick up any wickets with the new ball while Arshdeep was picking up wickets regularly, excluding the match against Netherlands Arshdeep was far superior then Bhuvi in that tournament. they should look to pick harshit ,mayank, or even Moshin khan before taking a giant step backwards and selecting Bhuvi again. express bowling and JaFanatic 2
singhvivek141 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Public memory is short. No wonder why the tried and tested failures are able to crawl back in the team. People were voucing for Pant in T20's after a couple of big hits on a ground with 50m boundary, and now to Bhuvi after couple of okaish fluke spells. Same Bhuvi was getting thrashed for 50 plus runs consistently in the initial games, in some games he even didn't comeback to bowl second over after the thrashing he got in the first over itself. Same Jadeja who looks like Gary Sobers in IPL bats even worse than Chris Harris in the internationals. All these Siddharth Kaul's, Sandeep Sharma's look million dollars in IPL but end up making fool of themselves on the big stage. JaFanatic, Lone Wolf, tapandrun and 1 other 4
Gollum Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 2021 and 2022 T20 WCs bhool gaye? His first over against Rizwan in 2021, against Poms in SF......set the tone for 10 wicket thrashings. raki05, Lone Wolf, express bowling and 2 others 5
speed_thrills Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Yes he is the best, as long as he is not bowling 19th over. Lord 1
Nikhil_cric Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 No he is not. I like Bhuv but if you are going that route, might as well pick Tushar Deshpande JaFanatic 1
MediumPacer Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Has good control, but weak in body and attitude, doesn't even look for wickets.Compared to McGrath who used to target the opposition and it's main batsmen, bhuvi wouldn't dare to do that. But then, bcci would have banned McGrath had he played for them,so bhuvi is the right fit for them. JaFanatic and singhvivek141 1 1
vvvslaxman Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Among the INdian pacers Given the bashing this season. Anyone under 9 is good as some of them bowl at death and power play. Bowlers with under 9 Economy Bumrah 12 matches 18 wickets 6.22 ER Mayank 4 matches 7 wickets 6.98 ER Sandeep sharma 6 matches 10 wickets 7.82 ER Tushar deshpande 10 matches 12 wiickets 8.66 ER Yash Dayal 10 m atches 10 wickets 8.89 ER Bhuvi on the other hand 12 matches 11 wickets 9.13 ER Sure he bowled well in the last innings. Overall this season was poor. Bhuvi ofcourse had a stellar SMAT 7 matches 16 wicikets 5.84 ER.. But in SMAT there is nobody to exploit his weakness. Tushar deshpande 8 matches 16 wickets 6.98 ER in SMAT. Tushar can hit big sixes. As a no.10 batsman he scored a 100 iin Ranji this season. He can bowl quick when needed. Tushar took out Head/Abhishek/Bairstow/Russow this season early on with new ball. He can be crappy too. But better than Siraj at this point. Khaleel is useless.Other option is Sandeep sharma. But it is a massive gamble. He has the smarts. But if a batsman suddenly starts reversing, scooping not sure how he will react as he relies a lot on slower ones. Moshin is another option. But that guy is also going 10 an over this season. Bowls some peaches. THen he bowls absolute rubbish stuffs.

maniac Posted May 9, 2024 Author Posted May 9, 2024 People are not getting the point it’s not how bad Bhuvi is or how he has sucked, the point is who do you think looks like a better all situation bowler than him? Criteria: anyone who bowls between 120-175 clicks. Give me some names. Trust me I am not a fan of Bhuvaneshwar if you have followed me on this forum before. if god forbid Bumrah misses out in WT20, I would automatically replace him with Bhuvi as every bowling attack needs a leader. You can’t have 4 young rookies no matter how talented they are.
Lord Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Yes very reliably failed in every ICC tourney he played express bowling 1

Leader of the pack means a good example is Cummins: someone who is reliable in all 3 phases compared to others. Irfan could be trusted to bowl in all 3 phases but since the relative rookies were in good rhythm he bowled in the middle. It’s the glue that holds a bowling attack.
