What is the purpose of Ravindra Jadeja in T20Is??

Never performs with bat in this format. Bowl two overs of economical line and length. That's it, what's the point of having him.

Instead, have Jaiswal and use Dube for 1 over and let Axar and Hardik fill the remaining 7 overs of their quota.

To make the point that good sword fighting skills can make one an international cricketer.

There is a lot in common among sword fighting, golf, cricket, etc.

Next I want someone to be in the team based on his Kabbadi skills :woot:

To justify the fraud 6 bowler theory.

This allows Kohli and Rohit to bat without intent because they can always pretend that they are a bowling heavy side and bat to just reach par scores .

If we had proper batters until #7,  Kohli and Rohit would have  been brutally exposed not just for their lack of intent but also the fact that they can't bowl part time either.

If Kohli/ Dube can bowl a couple of overs without conceding too many runs, we won't need Fraudeja at all.  We can rather play a specialist batter like Jaiswal.  But our dumb TM sucks as always. :((

This . It's an excellent plan to create an imbalance in the lineup through false hypothesis and PR engine and then justify inclusion of others to counterbalance the former.

Jadeja and Chahal, both should not have been part of the squad in the first place. Same is true for Kohli, Rohit and Dube as well.

I was a big fan of Dravid. In many ways I adore him and Lakshman more than Sachin and Ganguly of that famous fab 4 lineup. But I have no hesitation to say that Dravid has absolutely turned to be a nuisance of a manager and needs to be kicked out ASAP. Ganguly needs to share the discredit of this mess as well. While I praised him for clipping Kohli's wings which was much needed(Only three Indian seniors could have done a politically unpopular move like that - Kapil, Ganguly, Gambhir) , there is no shame now in admitting that his choice of replacement in form of Sharma and Dravid has proved to be a disaster of equal proportions if not bigger.

They are already exposed. Rohit especially is yet to win an ICC knockout match for us.

But you're right, till those two are there, 6 bowlers will be there.

I like the balance as one bowler can get slogged/injured, but that has to be batting AR

Can say that about half the team including captain :phehe:

Youngsters couldn't have done worse even if they tried

But but but... these seniors are the reasons for our "success" as they "carried" the team to knockouts as per some Kohli fans here. Maybe filling their boots in league stage and not showing up in playoffs is the definition of "carrying the team" :dontknow:

This time they couldnt even do that lol

You're under-estimating them. I've already seen a post where the biggest Kohli fan wants Jaiswal to play lower down the order :hysterical: And then will blame Jaiswal for "not supporting Kohli". Obviously no criticism about Kohli and his poor performances.

i don't think people understand the nuances....

and pschology involved....

let alone Jaddu is top allrounder....

even if he doesn't perform.....

just having his name in the Xi gives confidence....

to batters to go out and play aggressively...

same to bowlers....

true multi dimensional player..

Who gets confidence from Jadeja? Our openers Rohit & Kohli? If  yes, congrats they're playing with the same confidence as Jadeja

We have several topics on this. Some of us have PhD on this topic. Tewatia would.have been a much better option than him or Venky iyer

Does Tewatia bowl?  I hv hardly seen him bowling in ipl.   V Iyer's bowling is at par with Dube.   Since TM does not trust Dube's bowling, I doubt if they will trust V Iyer with the ball.

Iyer's bowling is leaps and bounds better than Dube's
