Aqib is right.   Arshdeep is a normal bowler.   For that matter, every Indian bowler is Normal.   No one is abnormal.     They don't hv any abnormality/deformity.

Can swing, banda tall hai, bowls to his field, good yorkers (ability is there), always learning, mentally tough, just 25. Lot of upsides. Most importantly sardarji has the eye of the tiger, and wants to improve. His catching was meme level when he first came in, now he has improved that, he can hit 6s, he will be part of multiple ICC trophy winning teams.

This G@ndu's only claim to fame was those two LBW calls of Sachin and Manjrekar at Sharjah by their cheating umpires. Otherwise he is a nothing bowler passing comments on who's a good bowler or not.

 

Self awareness is the first step towards self improvement, and these G@ndus old and new are severely lacking in this aspect.

One of the great things about a rising economy is a system in place which ensures our players take leaps and become better - Kohli, Rohit, Jadeja, Ishant, Ashwin, Pujara, Rahane, Arshdeep, Shami, Bumrah, Kuldeep etc all took leaps in their career to become better than what they were when they started out.

 

This is in contrast to the mid 00s - Munaf, RP, Sreesanth, Amit Mishra etc never lived up to their potential.

 

Australia also has that - Smith, Head, Khawaja all improved and became good players. Hayden, Martyn etc from back in the day.

 

Pakistani have the problem we had back in the day - Shaheen, Babar, Umar Akmal, Junaid, Nasir Jamshed, Shadab etc etc all regressed.

Irfan Pathan was biggest disappointment of India. Termed Wasim Akram. Started career in Pakistan in flying colors but regressed very much

Yeah. Great swing, decent pace, handy batsman.

 

Those mid 2000s guys had decent careers - won trophies etc but could have been so much more in a better system
