hain toh humari team mei Bumrah bhi..aur nets mei kela and Iyer bhi khelte thae..but hag fir bhi diye wcup final mei cummins and co k khilaaf..

so it doesnt matter.. 

the bowling machine..sling arms etc can help you oractice against even 160k pace..but you cant practice the smae line length and bounce..which makes it tough to face

They have Nahid Rana who is as quick as Mayank was in the last game.

Said nothing wrong , its just media hyping it up and want to create a story out of it. They have Nahid rana ,Ebadot whe are consistency bowling 140 + kmph and bd always had some1 bowling 140+ kmph since Murtaza. 

Murtaza, Rubel, Taskin, Ebadot , Rana, even when fizz was 140 +kmph and he could reach upto 145 kmph with effort ball 

 

 

Per toi  he said -we have similar fast bowlers in nets, i dont think we are worried about him but he is a good bowler 

 

Do not see anything wrong with it some1 might have asked if you are worried about mayank and the answer is simple.

True, but the more gentlemanly thing would be to simply say "he is a good bowler, has great speed and is learning quickly, but our batsmen will be prepared."

More likely it's lost in translation..or just plain old stupid sensationalism..he meant to say we have bowlers bowling fast in the nets and so preparation against mayank is not the issue...it's execution in the field that is the issue.

Nahid Rana bowled 150+ during the Tests against Pakistan so hes easily better than any bowler who bowls at the same speed in T20s and goes missing for months.

If Mukesh, Avesh, Khaleel, Unadkat, Sakariya are given preference over Mayank, Harshit, Tyagi, Umran, why should foreigners give us benefit of the doubt? We are talking about a potentially 155 k pacer here and not 140 k.

they were able to only hit the balls which Mayank tried to bowl little short and gave width as well..else they were struggling to hit him..need better net bowlers..as they clearly looked uncomfortable..

 

Additionally..speed when bowl leaves the hand is different than speed of the ball when it reaches the batter..so its different experience..with each bowler..after the ball is pitched...

shantoo did say anything which is offensive towards mayank and they have nahid who bowled ~150 kmph in test cricket.mayank still needs to cross 150 kmph in intnl matches

 

 it was not even 1 line statement that media is trying to sensationalize,he also said something abt bd team's mentality and ability think got to do with the batting nt sure 100% 

 

 

it was far better answer to what dravid gave when asked about picking sub 140 bowlers over faster bowler
