Has an international captain ever been such big liability on his team as Rohit ?

Average of 11.

 

On top of that he is an average fielder, doesn't bowl and not a good captain either.

 

Never seen any international captain being carried by his team like this.

Maybe Ganguly shortly before his ouster. Problem was Ganguly was surrounded by batting geniuses in their prime so he looked clearly a liability whereas Rohit has so many out of form players around him so he gets under the radar

Worst test captain ever in the Indian team, all the legacy built after T20 WC win, he pissed on it himself thorough greed to continue as a player and captain.

 

People have forgotten the Rohit Sharma who won T20 WC, but rather remember the Sharma who lost 3-0 at home to NZ at Tests. That's his legacy, gone to the dogs. Hitman se Chewtman tak ka safar.

Ganguly's number look bad compared only in comparison of greats he batted alongside with. But he scored runs in Australia in 2004. Scored a 70+ in Pakistan tour in 2004. He had a few 50s in Pakistan's tour of India as well in 2005.

Rohit's poor run doesn't even come in the same zipcode.

Though Ganguly struggled as a bat during the latter half of his career in Tests, but he was always a gun captain and kept on competing and winning test matches both overseas and India. Under Rohit forget competition, we are getting our backs handed over at home and away test matches, not to forget his dismal form with bat and his body language as a captain.

Ganguly scored a double against pakistan in his twilight years and also did well in his farewell series in 2008 vs Australia at home

Never rated him as a quality batsmen ,a true example of modern day FTB.He should thank God that he didn't go to earlier SENA tours else his average would have been Kelaesque !

And he is not even that great a cricketer?

I can name 4-5 better cricketers than him in the current Indian Squad

people comparing Sourav with this  FTB should check their records more deeply . Sourav averaged a respected 41.56 abroad, that too more or less uniform record in all countries   and batting  at 6th position . FTB has only 32 average abroad . It is  an insult to Sourav comparing this hack to him.
