Number Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 (edited) Last 13 test innings 8 - single digit scores 1 - 50+ score Average of 11. On top of that he is an average fielder, doesn't bowl and not a good captain either. Never seen any international captain being carried by his team like this. Serpico Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Maybe Ganguly shortly before his ouster. Problem was Ganguly was surrounded by batting geniuses in their prime so he looked clearly a liability whereas Rohit has so many out of form players around him so he gets under the radar
vvvslaxman Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Specialist captains atleast do the captaincy well. This guy sucks in that too. Lord, bowl_out and Number 3
rtmohanlal Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 a complete pedestrian & liability ... adopting T20 approach in Tests as captain !!!!!! A pucca flat track bully who could compile mammoth scores on such wkts in LOIs. Should have never been selected in the test team. Number 1
Lord Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Didn't deserve captaincy in first place Tactically and body language very poor. I doubt he has the respect of dressing room even. Number, cricspirit, adi B and 1 other 4
Frustrated Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 If he has any shame left, he should announce retirement immediately. No need to wait till the end of BGT. SandeepMotta, rtmohanlal and Number 3
Sean Bradley Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 (edited) Worst test captain ever in the Indian team, all the legacy built after T20 WC win, he pissed on it himself thorough greed to continue as a player and captain. People have forgotten the Rohit Sharma who won T20 WC, but rather remember the Sharma who lost 3-0 at home to NZ at Tests. That's his legacy, gone to the dogs. Hitman se Chewtman tak ka safar. cowboysfan Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 you know what is sad? nobody in management has the balls to call for retirement.that is the sad state of affairs in indian cricket where brand is greater than product.

But he scored runs in Australia in 2004. Scored a 70+ in Pakistan tour in 2004. He had a few 50s in Pakistan's tour of India as well in 2005. Rohit's poor run doesn't even come in the same zipcode. adi B and Sandz 2

Under Rohit forget competition, we are getting our backs handed over at home and away test matches, not to forget his dismal form with bat and his body language as a captain. We'd be losing to Zim. No Bumrah to save him then express bowling 1

adi B Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Never rated him as a quality batsmen ,a true example of modern day FTB.He should thank God that he didn't go to earlier SENA tours else his average would have been Kelaesque ! A lethargic ,Non active captain to go as well express bowling 1

rtmohanlal Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 people comparing Sourav with this FTB should check their records more deeply . Sourav averaged a respected 41.56 abroad, that too more or less uniform record in all countries and batting at 6th position . FTB has only 32 average abroad . It is an insult to Sourav comparing this hack to him. express bowling, Vijy, rollingstoned and 2 others 5
