saransh Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) This test seems eerily similar to gabba 2021 but getting totally oposite vibes from the way events are going. First innings jaiswal run out, pant stupidity, jaiswal 3 dropped catches then DSP dropping lyon and the last wicket adding 50+. The way things are going I won't be surprised if we are cruising tomorrow and then just collapse and then fightback only to lose by 10 runs. This game just has that vibes! @rollingstoned @Lord @Vijy @nitinbwj Edited December 29, 2024 by saransh Vijy and Master_better 2

Also Aussie bowlers will tire out after 30 overs so we will definitely have a shot at the target. But nerves will cause us to collapse

That Jaiswal run out cost us 100 runs IMO. It will be painful coz we were waiting in hope for most of today and Aus batted the whole day. It still doesn't change the fact that we have been behind in the game since day 1. nitinbwj 1
AuxiliA Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 If Lyon and Boland can bat for 20 overs then surely there are no demons in this pitch. We missed a freaking golden opportunity to skittle them for 250-270 which was pretty chaseable on this pitch. The dropped catches by Jaiswal will haunt us. nitinbwj 1

Yes they looked so comfortable it's a new ball pitch india has yo bat our first session and half

Bigg Brother Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Gabba was only because Pujara's blockathon. He made sure atleast we don't lose, even after that there was a scare once Mayank got out. We aren't doing that ever again. Everything clicked that day. Here we had chance only when they were 90/6. Ro-Ko aren't going to contribute more than 30 collectively...

ungboysj Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 We can draw it pitch is flat tailenders batted out 20 overs Frankly we don't deserve to win this match

It was his 91(146) as an opener which set up the chase otherwise even with Pujara and Pant we would have still ended up with just a draw. Master_better 1

Jaiswal can play a similar innings but his confidence must be shot by those 3 dropped catches today. BacktoCricaddict 1

Sharma is irrelevant. He will be back in the pavilion before the vada vendor has switched on the stove. Then it's just about keeping him and gambhir away from messing with the batting order with strategic inputs. Apart from that he can't do much harm
sensible-indian Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 How come Australia is struggling to beat this Indian side? I am blown away by the fact that we can STILL win the series from here (theoretically). Imagine if we win this series and Rohit is declared as the best captain by PR? India lost 1-4 in England in 2018 and we were wayyyyyyyy better there. Here we are 1-1 and we have been beyond pathetic. Stats lol. rollingstoned, vvvslaxman, adi B and 1 other 4
