Rohit out :yay:

Have to wait till tomorrow.

BCCI officials may intervene as per reports from Rohit Juglan. They are asking GG to give one match to Rohit, though GG is not willing.

Doesn't make sense. It is not within Gambhir's authority to remove Rohit unilaterally. The captain is appointed by BCCI not the coach. The only way this would have happened is if Gambhir asked Rohit to step away for this match and Rohit agreed or was persuaded. If he had dug in, the BCCI would have had to sack him

Chappell removed Ganguly the same way.

GG is not some random dude. He has his links in BCCI too.

If you're talking about GG he is a former BJP MP, purely in terms of "influence" he has it more than anyone in the current setup including BRat. Now if you take MI, RCB or CSK that's when things change, because indirectly these franchisees would have more influence especially when it comes to protecting their brand values, although I doubt they'd like to go against the BCCI right now for players who'll likely retire within the next year or two!

I wouldn't say he was the only problem - BRat has been a bigger issue for us for at least 5 years now! The obvious solution for him would've been to leave captaincy himself, ideally he should've "rested" himself for the last test against NZ & let maybe KL or whoever else to lead the side. You have to remember that it's not just his captaincy that's been bad - team slections, specially at home have been well below par, plus this *ing stupid "intent" thing :whack2:

It's the second time I'm hearing that *ing word after BRat dropped Pujara back in 2018(?) during Eng tour!

NRI will face the heat if he continues to remain an NPA.

Till now, majority of focus was on Rohit and he was flying under the radar.

Now, with Rohit allegedly not playing Sydney test...he might not have choice but to perform.
