singhvivek141 Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 1 hour ago, Alam_dar said: The Indian narrative has failed to gain any traction in Pakistan, as one might have expected. In fact, Pakistan has managed to counter much of this narrative even on the international stage by asserting several points. It claims to have invited international organisations and foreign governments to investigate freely within its borders. Pakistan argues that institutions like the IMF, EU, and UN are already monitoring its internal security situation, and their continued engagement and financial support indicate that no substantial evidence of state-supported terrorism has been found. Some Pakistanis even admit that terrorist groups exist, but maintain that mere presence does not mean the state allows them to operate freely or supports their activities. Domestically and abroad, the dominant counter-narrative is that India’s actual goal is to destabilise Pakistan itself, using terrorism as a pretext. A major example often cited is the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, which is seen not as a strike against terrorism, but as a direct act of hostility toward the Pakistani state. Many argue that India’s claim of only targeting terrorist camps is undermined by actions like this, which directly impact the nation’s survival and infrastructure. In such a charged environment, both religion and nationalism become powerful tools for shaping public opinion. In Pakistan, both are currently playing a central role in rallying support and rejecting Indian claims. And it seems a similar dynamic is taking place across the border too. When these forces dominate, logic, evidence, and rational discussion lose their value. Its reverse actually. Despite what facade Military controlled Pak media has tried to portray...it's actually the Pakistan who is facing heat from all corners of the world and losing badly in diplomatic warfare. Almost every country of this planet has supported Indias right to retaliate. And the same you can see in Indias response as well, we have been careful enough in not letting our pilots in the danger and hence attacked first via drones to cripple the defense system. Except China, Turkey and to some extent Iran & Malaysia...majority of the countries have either stayed neutral or sided with India. Russia, Israel, France, Australia, Phillipines, Thailand, Indonesia to name a few..even the likes of Saudi & Qatar have choosen to stay neutral tell you how much support Pak is getting even from the Muslim majority nations. No one in this world wants terrorism, unfortunately Pakistani jernails need that to keep their power intact on the Pakistan. These jernails and their families are muching fast foods and cold coffees happily in US, UK and other western countries..while the common public is fighting on the streets to feed their families. Thats the narrative world is seeing right now. raki05, putrevus and coffee_rules 1 2

Wars are needed at times to maintain peace. But Gains have to be irreversible. We should capture some of the Pak lands...and expand the territory. Pak should feel that their owned land is now lost because of their own foolishness. They've lost Bangladesh earlier...time to lose other parts as well. raki05 1
G_B_ Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 I hear news of tank deployments on either side. How true is it.

EnterTheVoid Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 (edited) I'm in two minds about the Indian media. Better spread fake news than give away operational details to the enemy like they were doing at Kargil and 26/11. Edited May 9, 2025 by EnterTheVoid randomGuy, Tillu, ravishingravi and 3 others 4 2

coffee_rules Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 4 hours ago, Alam_dar said: You're absolutely right. Many people genuinely believe they’ve won every war, and they often mock Indians as nothing more than weak vegetarians. But honestly, I think a very similar narrative exists across the border as well. When I see the kind of rhetoric some Indian media outlets are promoting, it becomes clear to me that irrational voices are not limited to one side. There are extreme and misinformed individuals on both sides of the border. I used to believe that modern media and especially social media would help people become more informed and thoughtful. But I was wrong. Instead of spreading awareness, these platforms have ended up fueling misinformation and hatred. Except for this incident, there was not much disinformation spread about Pakistan/wars. We all know how much land and soldiers we lost in 1962 war. China incursion happened and we lost soldiers, but later we fight back and stopped them and inflicted losses on them too. But overall , we lost to China in 1962. How does ISPR spin 1971 as a win when they surrendered with 90k soldiers? Most of what we know about Pak as a failed state is true. There is no equivalence. You got to cite more. If India’s leaders believe the point about combating terrorism has been made, they should consider steps to de-escalate the current war-like tensions. Beyond disrupting the IPL and trade, this is a critical moment for India to capitalize on the US-China trade rift and draw global investment. As for Trump, I have zero faith in him. He’d likely revel in a chaotic world, as long as the US stays insulated. Country first. Nobody is crying over an event that is held every year. They should not suspend it, but cancel it and escalate to flush out all terrorist cocks singhvivek141, G_B_, raki05 and 2 others 3 1 1

That defeat was the reason why China went back and never attacked on us again. coffee_rules 1
