Title says it all. A team which out-chokes Royal Chokers Bangalore isn't gonna win anything.

If they can't get past a team which has choke king Kohli, aka Mandeep Singh of playoffs (averaging in early 20s with a SR of mid 120s across 15 innings in playoffs/knockouts), they're not gonna win anything.

PBKS should call it quits and focus on their rivalry with Delhi (DC) where the two bottom feeders can fight over bragging rights between the two. They can create an Ashes type of rivalry within IPL and let other teams worry about winning the tournament.

I have a feeling that they will beat the shyte out of RCB in final.

They won't even make it. They will lose to GT or MI. Most probably Mumbai. Lightning doesn't strike twice. They won't have the game to beat MI again. MI will be ready and prepared this time, since it's a playoff. The final will be RCB vs MI most likely. This was Punjab's chance to make the final and push their luck. They choked massively.

Yeah but Ahmedabad is almost patta and PBKS FTBs are in form (barring this one match) . MI will be without Rickelton And Jacks, Rohit is hit or miss, Tilak is out of form. MI isn't as strong as people are suggesting, thier bowling is good and even that is doable if they play out Bumrah. GT is much harder to beat for PBKS as their bowling is superior and methodical top order batting.

Choking is something i don’t believe in. IF you just play more knockouts you increase your chances of ultimately winning any trophy. There will be exceptions like Aus who are just so good in general but they are exceptions and mostly teams will lose more at highest levels than win. We saw that recently with Indian team and even now with RCB. Even though RCB never had the best sides but you saw they were coming 4-5 getting in knockouts even though they would be eliminated. Finally with the randomness of the format things will work out for you. I believe with Punjab they have a core and if they don’t mess it up badly they may get another chance in next 2-3 years.

In leagues with salary caps most teams will have their chances over very long term.

That point regarding the team making playoffs more frequently is obvious and RCB finally nailed one of the playoffs.

Consistency is indeed the key.

Once PB starts making playoffs more consistenly, PB will also have a trophy in the cupboard.
