Yes there have been a few issues such as a general lack of fast bowlers like Umran and Mayank and the one week suspension did affect things but I think it will be remembered very fondly when we look back in a few yrs and not just because we will have a new winner. It helped that India won the CT going in so people didn't see it as a pointless distraction immediately after to take the mind off a tournament failure. If it ends up being Dhoni's last season then it will most certainly have even higher recall value because CSK games throught the country have been the most well attended ones. Nikhil_cric Posted June 2 Posted June 2 (edited) The quality of the season may or not be high. But why do we have such a ridiculously long cricket season in the first place? Finish the domestic season in 6, max. 7 months(including IPL) so that our players have time for recovery and work on their skills in the off season. This 10 month season BS needs to end. Wasnt even interested in watching games, never happened before , even now, Final is on Tuesday and I may not watch it. Maybe SRH flopping played a role. vvvslaxman Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I liked it because of the major auction. The sameness we used to see was not there. Every team looks different fundamentally. CSK team really brought down the quality of the tournament somewhat with their horrendous picks. Will give them a pass as they were putting up a dominating performance for so long. Hope they fix it. If they had won a few more extra matches table would have been far more interesting

vvvslaxman Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Loss of regular captains for two sides was a let down. Even Patidar was not captaining for a couple of matches. Never happened. This is where i hate impact sub rule. Captain was cooling off because he can't field. He came out to bat.
