Number Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Why were English cricketers pundits offended when we didn't agree for the draw ? Some of them even refused to shake hands. Both the teams have right to play as long as they feel they should. express bowling and crictime 2

Gollum Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 We really should have batted all the overs. If their part timers wanted to do comedy, not our problem, just tonk them and add another 100 runs in final hour. Punish their bratty behavior. I don't think even RSA, Aus would have stooped that low....they are led by proper gentlemen, Bavuma and Cummins. And NZ of course would have created zero drama, for all the flak we give them, they conduct themselves really well, especially the last 10 years. Just an English uppity thing, entitlement. nevada, Manucrick, Lord and 1 other 2 2

Bigg Brother Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Stokes - Let's handshake Jaddu- Nah,Not in my control Stokes- I'm gonna whine and cry a river over that English Cricketers and media are known to make an issue out of nothing. Smith,Duckett and Crawley were shouting from behind "get on with it Washi" when he was defending Brook on 95. Totally ridiculous behaviour by these nobodies. Brook chickened out before India tour last year, same with Stokes before 2021 tour. These are highly entitled nobodies averaging 30-35 in test cricket despite playing in favourable conditions all those years. I wonder How Baz would be handling this crybabies who himself was gentleman during his playing days. AnotherRaj, cricspirit and nevada 3

mishra Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 You create a Bazball track for Tests and then when opposition played the same game as you, You start thinking Oh , My bowlers may get injured. The only reason Stoksey came to shake hand was to deny Hard earned century for two bats. Absolutely wrong from Gill and Co not to bat 10 more overs and made Stoksey understand to provide better pitches. If not the Lowest point on sportmanship in History of cricket in last decade, its not far off. AnotherRaj 1

coffee_rules Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Great critique of Stokes, English on personal milestones. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/eng-vs-ind-4th-test-cricket-must-be-played-by-the-rules-not-ben-stokes-moral-code-1497091 The meltdown that ensued can happen in the heat of the moment. When you are at the absolute brink of physical endurance - like England were - the mind can get frayed. However, even after he had had an hour to think about his actions, Stokes still chose to virtue-signal. When asked if he would have pulled the plug on a young batter a few hits away from a maiden Test century after having batted through the day, Stokes said he couldn't see how the extra ten runs made any difference to what Washington and Jadeja had already done. If this piece was about whataboutism, it would have pointed out the Wellington declaration, made soon after Root's century to set New Zealand a target of 583, or the declaration with a 352-run lead against Ireland in 2023, made soon after Ollie Pope's double-century. Those extra few runs were not making a difference to England's team goals, but this is not about that at all. It is about not trying to impose your values on others. If this was done to gain some kind of competitive advantage, it would have still been fine. This, unfortunately, came across as moral posturing, which is highly avoidable, at all times. It is regrettable that it came on the watch of an otherwise great ambassador for the game express bowling, vvvslaxman, nevada and 1 other 4

It is regrettable that it came on the watch of an otherwise great ambassador for the game Simple explanation is he did not want two Indian batsmen leaving the field with more confidence. So he wanted to terminate the innings before that. That was the real objective. Everything else is BS. coffee_rules and nevada 2
