Sgattick10 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 It's high time. Why can't Indian cricketers retire when people ask why and why not. What is this obsession of hanging on till dropped. nitinbwj and Sandz 1 1

He won the T20WC and CT both while beating Australia, so he got his revenge. Sgattick10, Sandz, nitinbwj and 2 others 1 4
Nikola Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Not sure why it took so long, should have been asked to retire right after champions trophy final. Now the closer you get to the worldcup, the fewer games for youngsters to replace him at top. nitinbwj and nevada 1 1
Manucrick Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I am not believing this news right now and I will only believe it when he actually retires
G_B_ Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Its the right call. With Jaiswal in the mix of things and other options like even Samson i think its the right time to go. India can maybe carry Kohli but two at top is too much. Kudos to BCCI. They have been ruthless. rollingstoned 1

The Hound Posted July 17 Posted July 17 So they are forcefully pushing him out because he has said multiple times in interviews he wants to play 27 WC.
rollingstoned Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Just now, The Hound said: So they are forcefully pushing him out because he has said multiple times in interviews he wants to play 27 WC. Would you rather they not do that?

It is not a players privilege to decide that they will continue to play as long as they feel like & everyone shd accept it. Manucrick 1

putrevus Posted July 17 Posted July 17 (edited) The problem is not forcing him out, it is the way they have handled the situation. Both these idiots Gambhir and Agarakar seem to push the blame for any losses on guys like Rohit and Kohli. Agarkar is the selector and this idiot GG (packing the team with fake allrounders) have no clue how to build a team. 177/3 turns into 233 all out. Very much similar to Nov 19 there also 160/3 or something ended up with 240. In three years these two bozos are not able to build any middle and lower order and have same idiotic bowling which can never win them any matches . We all saw how well t20 team without seniors did on this tour getting bounced out by Sam Curran. What was the excuse there. Edited July 17 by putrevus The Hound 1

It was an attempt at a joke to highlight that Virat is British and would like to host RGS' retirement in his home country UK. Clearly my standup comedy career has no chance of taking off :-) Btw I've been unhappy with RGS in the team for years now. I think VK can still be useful. Edited July 17 by BacktoCricaddict
wanted_desi Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Rohit is Go Went Gone. Unless he was reverse this age and get those reflexes back, he is toasted.
