Sidhoni Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Ashwin on dustbowl Jadeja on patta G_B_ and Zero_Unit 2
G_B_ Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 This is a tough call. Ash I think has a bit more depth to his bowling Sent from my Wileyfox Swift using Tapatalk
Pollack Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Both play for India. So doesn't matter. Ashwin better bowler on Saturday,Tuesday,Thursday. Jadeja better on Monday,Wednesday,Friday. Sunday is for Ishant Sharma since he does nothing. Prince_ and Gollum 2
Cricketics Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Depends, on his day against most test batsmen, Ashwin will rock the line ups left and right and take fifers easily. But when the batsman is really showing great temperament, I think Jadeja has come out as a trump card for India and has taken bag full of wickets. He has changed the way he bowls now and added more varieties tonhis bowlingn. Bowling a lot slower and is as pethal as Ashwim at times or more. All in all, it is not good to compare both these two spinners at this time since Ashwin has been just top class for us and Jadeja has been brilliant in this series and pretty much this whole winter. I would say to wait for few more months and then compare. OpeningBatsman 1
BCCI Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Jadeja is a metronome,at you all day.But I think he has improved his variation of flight and guile over the last 2-3 years. Ashwin more varied and I think more skillful.
speedheat Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Jaddu On the flat wickets his pace, spin & accuracy is a deadly trio like no other. On turning tracks the pace at which he bowls at, unless the ball is a straighter one or hits the in/outside of the stumps most players will miss the ball. With Ashwin you get more time & more variety, so on flatter tracks you get yourself out more often than not, Jadeja gets you out even on flat pitches much more regularly than Ashwin. Gollum 1
CG Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Jadeja disappointed today the pitch was tailor made for him.Diff between him and ashwin is ashwin in his day would have run through sides.
Laaloo Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 It depends but just happy both play for the same team ;)

maniac Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I used to rate Ashwin leagues ahead of Jadeja but not any more.....damn this guy is one of those rare occasion when I got it a little wrong...Still Ash is a little ahead just based on cricketing acumen.... but then again Jadeja's success is still a mystery which will never be solved...won't be surprised if he overtakes Warne/Murali....never know wtf is going on with Sir Tibarn 1

Trichromatic Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Jadeja has edge over Ashwin in last season. SL series First inn - Jadeja 3/67 Ashwin - 1/84 Pollack 1
Austin 3:!6 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Ashwin is not the same bowler after injury. Trying too many variations , not giving enough flight and just darting it like Harby. Prior to that injury, he was awesome in test and a pretty decent bowler in LOI too but lost his mojo since. Kumble could have helped him here but well. That fat Shastri need to talk to him and tell him to stop experimenting much.
Gollum Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 I thought Ashwin was very unlucky this innings. Another day those figures would read 70/5. Happens sometimes. Ankit_sharma03 1
Temujin Khaghan Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 we will compare after the entire series is over.
