Our best seaming allrounder is Stuart Binny, and our two best spinning allrounders are Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. Whether you like it or don't like it, these are the best we have, so we have to make the most out of them. - Dhoni.

How many seaming allrounders has Dhoni  tried to have reached to that conclusion?

Please go through that article for many more such gems. He again talks about our quick bowlers going for runs when our trundlers are breaking records for most expensive overs in ODI.

6/4 - Record proves itself. Show another seamer who has this record, albeit it's against minnow team.

Even Ganguly has 5-fers against Pakistan does not make him an alrounder.

With Due regards to MSD's past achievements and superb captaincy, I regard MSD as Greatest Indian skipper and one of the best captain cricket world has ever seen.

But in recent times, MSD's approach is doing harm to indian cricket. He is not the guy he used to be. He is killing balance of the team and favoring players of his likes.

He should respectfully accept failure of this plans and tactics as a captain,  step down from ODI captainship and be a senior player in squad. Let VK or any other player be captain and take the decisions and try new things.

Well he is not entirely wrong

Stuart did well in Cb series, has taken a 6-4 against bang, did decent in sl n against zimb he did quite well

n he has gotten limited opp we have to c that

Other seaming all rounders we have

Irfan pathan- potentially best, attitude wise worst. the guy is injured every ranji season. Has no intent to improve

rishi dhawan - a better bowler n fielder than binny, batsman i highly doubt but he cud have been invested in like we invested in jadeja n now in axar

Hardik pandya- well its to early to judge,

But coming back to binny , even if he feel he is the best seaming all rounder i have never seen him putting confidence in him like he does wid jadeja n axar.

Lets face it - After Kapil Dev, there's never been a proper All Rounder until date... and I don't see anyone in the future also...

Hardik Pandya is a real prospect. Bowls 140k like a bowler and bats like a proper batsman.

The amount of damage this guy has done to our team, we will take decades to get over this. In terms of legacy left behind, he is on par with the traitor Azharuddin.

I can only bang my head at this blindness and stupidity..

he is making a most obvious mistake...he is not looking for the best high quality players to win matches.

frankly that's our batsmen only plus ashwin.

he wants to make the best  of mediocre players because they can bowl a bit and bat a bit

and does he know the actual stats?   its ishant and umesh who average below 35..bhuvi and Praveen are both 36+

and by what logic do 36+ avg bowlers do the job? Zimbabwe won't be scared of such bowlers.

guys like vaidya, bangar, jp yadav, binny are  ranji players but they do not cut it at internationals...no way in hell are these players going to succeed.

Expecting a player of modest gifts like stuart binny to succeed is the height of madness

The problem with the ignoramuses running indian cricket is they are repeating these mistakes over decades..

Enamoured with the 1983 victory, the gang of 1983 repeatedly packs the team with mediocre allrounders...

gavaskar wanted bhuvi and binny as for the world cup in Australia beucase they can bat a bit!! no matter such batting is worthless majority of the times...

the old dinosaurs are incapable of adapting to modern time because their mind is limited and conditioned by the myth of the 1983 victory..no matter Pakistan had a whopping 20-4 against the same losers after 1985!

no matter strong teams repeatedly thrashed us even at home during those painful days!

if people understood where the 1983 gang comes from, you would not be surprised....all the defeats they had received had not diminished their faith in foolish stubborn ideas because they won 2 major tournaments in a 2 yr phase

they still think this is the 1980's where binny and madan lal are the part and parcel of sides...dhoni is cut from the same cloth hoping that the modest abilities of axar and binny will save him!

Unfortunately its the top 6 batsmen and top 3 bowlers who decide matches....the batsmen and the likes of zaheer can save dhoni sometime but not all the time..
