Except for Kohli ..all seem to be vulnerable to variations in bounce, in both pace and spin. Stuck in crease and not moving (feet forward - kohli's natural game). But 2-1 from this Eng team is a pipe dream. 2012 had better batting - KP and Cook alone beat India in batting.

Don't know why but England seems to be the only team that knows how to handle India in India. By this time of the series against any other team, they would already be thinking about return flights in the face of humiliation. England knows their way. They are a disciplined team and they're not panicking. I believe India will lose Mohali, and draw Mumbai. This guy Cook is our nemesis. He knows exactly what he's doing..

This was the case in 2012. We won at abad. Then went downhill.

Not gonna happen. They may win odd test but they will lose the series.

In 2012, England had a much superior bowling attack. Anderson was good with his reverse swing and Panesar and Swann were experienced spinners. Ashwin was lot less experienced and Jadeja didnt even play in first 3 tests. Indian batting was unorganized with Sachin, Sehwag close to retirement and Gambhir,Yuvraj didnt belong in the side while KP and Cook made all the difference in England batting. It was a combination of factors which worked in England's favor. This time around, though England seem like a good side and are showing some fight, India will bag the series.

If law of averages catches up, then other batsmen will perform. Isnt that elementary when you talk ' law of averages'?

Meaning : its not a fast track anymore, it will break day two/three for spinners.

 

Its cute all that talk of Mohali is like brisbane + WACA rolled into one is good till the time teams actually play there and say its a flat subcontinent pitch. if they leave some grass it will seam around but unlikely. If its cloudy in the day and if its damp in the evenings (10 deg expected) it might swing in the air, but thats a lottery for England.
