Variable bounce on day 1/2 is a poor pitch on any yardstick.

Aussie tracks are the most garbage pitches ever.

 

The only reason they don't get called out is because they are pretty to look at and escape due to bounce technicality.

 

ICC rules suck.

 

Atleast make it consistent for all types of pitches. If they do that, I have no problem with rating Pune and Bangalore as poor pitches.

India just needs tot prepare pitches similar to England series and beat Australia black and blue. Leave them with zero excuses once the series is over.

Pune was a substandard pitch, no doubts. Nothing wrong with the Bengaluru pitch though. Gave us 4 enthralling days of cricket.

They should prepare regular Indian pitches that last 3.5 days and deteriote fro..Day 4 second session. Shut Aussies up and don't make sporting wickets. And I would agree with Hayden in one thing let the cricket talk from now on.

Yup Haydos, all pitches in India are substandard. Only pitches like Nottingham (  http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/current/match/743969.html) and 600 vs 500 featherbeds in beloved Straya are super standard.

Having variable bounce from 2nd day onward, it was substandard. Ball was rolling along the ground.

Should have no issues with second test

 

850 runs scored. The test match took nearly 4 days to finish. 

 

A poor pitch is usually defined as being under 800 runs with all things being done and dusted inside 3 days.

A true pitch is where pitch starts deteriorating from day 4 afternoon.

 

In the first day of the Bangalore match, one area of the pitch gave enough for lyon to get 8/50. something he will struggle likely to ever accomplish on a good pitch on day 1.

 

Also these surfaces give chances for average spinners and mediocre spinners to bowl us out.Makes it a lottery. Unlike 2012 when swann and monty beat an unsettled indian side fair and square.

 

There was no need at all for bcci idiots to poke their nose in at pune. This indian side has genuine quality with

powerful batsmen and spinners.

 

At Bangalore, it could be incompetence or a unforeseen problem the curator could not handle.The experienced retired cricketers who played over 70+ tests got it wrong as well.

 

In 2013, they prepared atleast two bad surfaces for the aussies and made it impossible for them to compete.

 

The problem is not with hayden .

 

The scheduling has been very unsatisfactory as well. The main test centres should conduct ind aus test series.period

He is being kind, when your batsmen struggle against the likes of Lyon then it's time to find out why we have shot ourselves in the foot with these pathetic pitches? Its the England series all over again from a few years ago.
