OpeningBatsman
Pathan brothers (in their prime) or Pandya brothers, whom would you rather prefer between the two sets of brothers to have in your team? Edited April 12, 2017 by OpeningBatsman tweaker 1 Link to comment

sandeep
Prime? Pathan brothers no question. Pandyas have a lot to prove before matching the Pathans in their prime. Gollum, shibnarayan, OpeningBatsman and 5 others 8 Link to comment
HippoSucks
Pathan brothers without a doubt. OpeningBatsman 1 Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
as of now pandya No point talking about pathan bros who have wasted their talents Pandya bros have the live example of pathan bros of how not to loose the plot. Somewere both pathan bros lost out on fitness as well which i dnt see it happening with modern cricketers specially under kohli Also i expect shankar n in future kamlesh from U-19 will give them competition and keep them on edge OpeningBatsman and express bowling 2 Link to comment
chewy
Never rated Yusuf, was a destroyer of spin but absolute dud against quicks Irfan was brilliant in early days, has Test form behind his performances, capable of batting anywhere and decent pace and swing Both Pandyas far away from Tests debuts, but could see Hardik progress well in CT in England OpeningBatsman 1 Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Irfan Pathan would be the best of the lot followed by Hardik Pandya. Irfan had the talent to be a genuine fast bowling all-rounder for India who could bat and bowl at a high level. Still feel sad that we lost such a wonderful talent sandeep, Sidhoni, shibnarayan and 2 others 5 Link to comment
Trichromatic
Irfan Pathan was among best ODI quicks for first 2 years. 100 wickets in 59 matches and getting dropped after taking a 5-fer in his last ODI. Pandya brothers are not even close to him even in his batting. Only Zak, Srinath, Kapil and Agarkar are ahead of him. Forget about their prime, Pandya bros won't be able to compete with Pathan bros at FC level even now. Lord and Sidhoni 2 Link to comment

BCCI
On topic,Yusuf Pathan I must say looked like becoming a wonderful cricketer in late 2010 but once again it was a false dawn, purely mediocre cricketers both the Pathan brothers with some great highs & otherwise mediocrity spread all along. For Indian cricket's sake hope Pandyas go step or two higher than Pathans. Edited April 13, 2017 by BCCI Link to comment
Gollum
Pathan bros easily. Irfan Pathan has been one of the biggest misses for India, had genuine potential to be an ATG bowler. speedheat and Lord 2 Link to comment
Sidhoni
Pathan bros won matches for Indians while Pandya bros win matches for "Mumbai Indians". Ultimate_Game and sandeep 2 Link to comment
NareshK
Irfan Pathan actually had some talent. Used to be a decent bowler even in tests but somehow lost his way. Rest are pretty much mediocre. Still need to see more of Pandya bros but Hardik is a more of a slogger and bowling is average. Could be a decent all rounder option in ODIs as of now. Link to comment

Sandeep99
Irfan, at his peak, was one of the best bowlers in world cricket. I still remember how he castled Butt, Younis, Youhana in Karachi, 2006. Unplayable! Yousuf was a beast and can still play the odd impact innings. Hardik/Krunal are not blessed with the same talent/raw power but seem to have a superior competitive spirit and will to win. Hopefully we get to see a lot more of them at international stage. sandeep and maniac 2 Link to comment

Hardik is 50% the bowler that Irfan was, and probably about the same level as a batsman, but with a different set of strengths and weaknesses. Yusuf in his prime - 2009-2011 - was a very effective slugger down the order. Sure he wasn't a great "batsman" technically. But he could and did bludgeon his way to a lot of runs against all types of bowling. Don't forget he scored an ODI 100 in South Africa - not exactly flat tracks or weak bowling team that. Pandyas have done well at the IPL level, but have a long way to go to match what the Pathans have done. Sandeep99 1 Link to comment
