Nonbeliever
Pujara will get injured. Rahul will have a slight niggle. Shami will also get injured. Rahane will get back into the form sitting into the dressing room. Gabbar will be there again and Saha will be fit again. Pitch will have swing so Bhuvi will be back. beetle, Cricketfanatic and Gollum 2 1 Link to comment

Shunya
Agreed. Surely as per Captain Genius's rotation policy- one of Vijay or Pujara is going out next match. velu 1 Link to comment

Gollum
If he fails again he deserves to be dropped, sorry. I am a huge Chepu fanboy and I love him but love Team India more. Please make amends Che, I pray you get some luck going your way in the 4th innings. FischerTal 1 Link to comment

Che has tons of it .... a failure here or there does not change things. First test was hard on top 5. Here he got run out .... Let's not create unnecessary do or die scenarios .... SA is the better team in these conditions, andInd has made too many mistakes Link to comment

He had a bad run in the 2013-15 overseas cycle, hence his failures shine more. Vijay hasn't exactly set the world on fire this series but he has a decent record in these conditions. For a no 3 batsman to average 27 odd in SA/Eng/Aus/NZ is an alarming situation because no 3 is a vital position. Link to comment

maniac
As I said bias...Chepu has been mediocre overseas and played a lot of games in comparison with some other players who get the hate. Having said that I will pick him over a couple of names in the team...won’t mention the names Link to comment

Trichromatic
How long can India afford a no 3 batsman who can't score overseas? Can Kohli move to no 3 and Rahane to 4? Vijay Rahul Kohli Rahane Rohit (Not my preference, but Kohli will pick him) Link to comment
jusarrived
On a serious note , if not for the mess created by Virat and Shastri Pujara's spot should be questioned . Pujara at this point would be below these 4 batsmen imo . 1. Virat - Overall best bat . 2. Rahane - inspite of his bad run at home , second best bat overall . 3. VJ - Lately inconsistent , but no questions about his ability . 4. KL - Needs to be consistent and start converting those 50s into 100s , but still early in his career . Pujara though needs to score runs away , but hes not your typical FTB . Hes been a match winner for us and played some great knocks where everyone else has failed and still puts a price on his wicket even away, so its not the same as Dhawan or Rohit cashing in in SL bowling on flat tracks . Also finding a good no 3 as a replacement is easier said than done , so need to be careful how hes handled . All this makes little sense now , cos in our Captains head Rohit > Dhawan >>>>>Pujara > VJ > KL , so he may be pretty close to being dropped . Gollum 1 Link to comment
Rasgulla
Last time he was kicked out to be replaced by joker Rohit.. He got a 200 on return Hoping Mr.aggresive doesn't do that again.. Link to comment
Shunya
Pujara deserves more than this. He was our highest run scorer last year. 2nd highest in the world. Which team would drop their best player from an year ago after 1 series failure. And the stupid strategy of chop and change is surely going to demoralize your players at some point of time or it has already started doing harm. Even worse is being dropped after great performances like Bhuvi and Rahul. Link to comment
