Agree. Total dramebaazi. Even if it is real the best way to get sympathy is by facing the ban and punishments. Do not act like cry babies. He is a repeat offender as far as sportsmanship is concerned. Personally I have no sympathy towards his crying at least.

I dont like this hounding and shaming of these people going on thanks to media/social media. It almost feels like they are some criminals, murderers or something. All the people enjoying this show as if some form of revenge for all the Aussie arrogance/cockiness are the worst hypocrites who are setting a bad precedent. Tomorrow this mob will abuse/troll their family members and could even do worse harm.

Hope we do not see any more parades in front of media to appease the crowd. This is just ridiculous. It is ball tampering FFS.

This guy will always be remembered as a CHEAT, he won't be called a legend or a great, his legacy has been destroyed. King Kohli has overtaken this guy even in the test format and kohli now wipes the floor with smith in all formats. Smith trolls have been hiding their face since the sa series

You are right he will be remembered as a cheat for ball tampering but here is the thing  it will be remembered that he didn't cheat to be a better test batsman than Kohli

There is something not right in seeing a cricketer of this stature cry.

 

Respect to Smith - Not for tampering but for owning up with class and taking all the blame on himself.  He failed as captain on the field but he now finally showed true leadership by taking the blame upon himself.

 

If one is human enough, they will feel for Smith here. He did not kill anyone. He tried to be childish and clever and tried to cheat to make his country win. He did not do drugs or sold his country for money or murdered.

 

 

Its hard to see a living chanpion player cry like that in the media who has gained so much success. The picture keeps playing in the mind from that press conference where he cried. The whole thing is unfortunate honestly.

Definitely he is not capable to ve a captain. A year ban is very harsh though.

This whole pre-meditated thing is blown out of proportion. You always decide to tamper the ball for the team and to some extent thats always premeditated unless youre a bowler. Quite unlikely that you would do that whimsically.
