Suresh Raina’s chances of making a comeback are bleak says a former Ranji coach as his priorities has changed

The Coach said, “His priorities have changed after he became a family man. I have noticed that he has not been concentrating on his game. He has become a reluctant cricketer. He just played three Ranji matches for UP this season and didn’t turn out for Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare tournaments.”

If the guy has put on weight and still has same issues with his game means he is not working hard.

No wonder he has been sidelined by Indian team as well.

Ranji atleast is fine. Not turning up for Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare is unacceptable, as he needs to keep himself match ready to have a chance of playing for India. Even likes of Dhoni is playing for his domestic team. At this rate he will be out of T20 side as well soon.

And icf wanted him based on his past glory. Do you not see his batting stance nowadays. Its almost as if he is dreading a short ball at any instant and preparing well in advance. And funnily enough he still fails to hooK or pull properly. :hysterical: Even with tummy he is an awesome fielder.

Fair point.

Belly.

Unfit.

Not turning up for domestic tourneys.

Why would he get a contract with that attitude?

The only excuse can be injury but don't think he is injured.

What has happened to him?

Pathan and RP we can say so. Munaf was too lazy and Bhajji too arrogant to make improvements to their game.

@Austin 3:!6 Yeh lo austin mian tere dil ki tassali ke liye. Ab khush hua ki Kohli ne sirf uske buddy ko contract dilwaya?

If its true...its a sad news. Raina was one of our better utility LOI player. I used to rate him very highly. But fair enough if cricket is no longer his priority.

Why would anyone question his committment. Rubbish.

Good for him, if he seems to be content with his Cricket and has changed his priorities for other personal reasons, it should be respected.

He was one of good LOI players we had.
