Got a decent ball first up - it can happen to any batsman.  Sure he could have played it better.  Especially given the match situation and the fact that he's not scored too many.  But not a lot to read into this dismissal.

Ironic title...he is actually a very incomplete cricketer...he is not without his utility though but if our TOP 5 batting is not strong enough then he is a luxury we cannot afford...Similarly if one of our fast bowler is struggling then same applies.

 

We expect him to be a Kapil Dev a genuine specialist gifted in the other area not a

Shahid Afridi who can win you the odd match but you are not sure what his role is.

Shahid Afridi to me was not a bad player, he could on his day hit anyone, is Pandya that batsman.Afridi the odi bowler is very underrated. It is different story Afridi got lot more publicity than he deserved, but so did MS dhoni.

He is just another mindless slogger under same category of T.Perera,Y.Pathan,Afridi,Most of Bangladesh Players.

#7 is always a bonus. we had jaddu there for long. Pandya is only an up grade. Not many teams can boast a player Pandya at 7.  this is the first time I am seeing people so worried about a #7.   i have already shown how he has been as good as Stokes in ODIs despite Stokes being batting in top 6.

Yes he is not complete 

 

but is genuine all rounder 

 

like yesterday flunked with bat . So many will say get rid 

 

but flip side 

 

was one of our best bowlers yesterday . So would have got in team as pure bowler yesterday. Then did brillaint run out 

 

another day will fire with bat and fail with ball . Could fun being all rounder always deliver some where 

 

best all round fielder in the team as well

 

stick with him enjoy the ride . Like 1sr test were superb knock showed all you need to know on his ability
