Ankit_sharma03 Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 All he can do now is go to domestic n keep scoring Big runs.

This guy would walkin into most other international teams. Pity we don't have place for him. Kusal Mendis like talent for us

Dont have a logical argument on why i feel that way but that said i also never felt sehwag would succeed as an opener. We all know what he has achieved so all the best to iyer.

Pant 7. Hardik 8. Krunal / Axar 9. Kuldeep / Chahal 10. Shami 11. Bumrah / Bhuvi may lend balance to the team in the long run. Not convinced as to why Rohit needs to be replaced and Dhawan doesn't. Their ages, records and flashiness are all similar. I don't think Pant is a fit at 6 either. No.s 4-6 look very shaky.
sarcastic Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 So, finally Shreyas Iyer got to play his first international innings.>> Looking at the scoreboard, feel he could not convert a good start. What are your thoughts!!!!!!!
rkt.india Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 He started well, 20 of first 11 balls but then suddenly became too anxious and scored 3 runs in next 10 balls.

He started hacking instead of playing proper cricketing shots. He should have rotated the strike and let Kohli take the burden for an over or two. nevada 1
King Tendulkar Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Played square cut well . No other good shots in this knock . Struggled after bright start game one . Of course more time and gets better . Want him in odi team so can spend proper time in middle and develop in fact debuts for any players in t20 format is not ideal frankly
wanted_desi Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 His weakest format, there is no time to think. He should have been tried in other formats first. Laaloo, King Tendulkar and RAZPOR 3
SK_IH Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 great move to send him at 3,kudos to virat maniac, express bowling, nevada and 1 other 4
express bowling Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Shreyas looked very comfortable and dominating against the quicker bowlers. Played the cut fiercely. I like that. He wasn't fluent against the slower bowlers but has tackled spinners well in FC. His strokes had the punch needed in international cricket. Overall ..... encouraging signs so far. mancalledsting Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Clearly has all the tools, just needs to to get leaner, spend more time in the middle and hold his nerve
