Texan Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 In other words, which series were you not expecting India would sweep? Test 3-0 ODI 5-0 T20 1-0
Forever Indian Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 None is the actual option I was looking for. WeStMiDz, Ankit_sharma03 and Laaloo 1 2

The Zim series as well as their only class player Matthews near the end of his career meant they would be barely able to compete. It was completely expected by me. OpeningBatsman 1

Look at our own performances in Zimbabwe and even on the recent tour of WI
OpeningBatsman Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I don't know, but i thought the series went on expected lines, at least for me. I thought SL would win one ODI here and there and the only way I thought SL could avoid a whitewash in tests was if it rained.

Almost gave them a phainty in test cricket as well OpeningBatsman 1

express bowling Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 I expected Tests 3-0 ODIs 4-1 T20I biggest chance for minnow teams to defeat top teams Very happy to see this ruthlessness by our team. Mosher 1

Gunathilaka and Asela Gunaratne inclusion could have made it more competitive. But at the end of the day they lack good bowlers. Malinga cannot carry it on his shoulders alone. Those shoulders are drooping. OpeningBatsman 1
CoverDrive Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Test our team is coming of very good wins against much stronger team so was expected to do well. ODIs were surprise as you expect to lose atleast 1 in a long 5 match series. We did come close to losing the second match also
maniac Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 None .....but if I had to pick one for the sake of it,I would say the T20 because the nature of the format which is a lottery and gives even the weaker teams a chance. Also Srilanka have done well in T20 format against good teams recently India usually has an outdated T20 approach and also we just lost to WI. but given the momentum we had and actually watching some of these mediocre Lankan players in this series it's no surprise

We get some lucky wins against piss poor teams and we cant really test our strengths. Thankfully we have 3 t20s against Australia. That should be great. Hopefully we do also bat. Want to see if our middle and lower order can score 200+.
Gollum Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) ODIs and T20. I was 100% sure Cool would single handedly cost us 2-3 matches on his own by his tortoise style batting. But luckily others stepped up and prevented that from happening. We swept them 5-0 and 1-0 in spite of carrying 'you know who', that takes a special effort. Salute to the 10 others . Tibarn Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 The T20 we looked much better than them. I thought that would be our weakest team as it seems like we don't ever select a specialist T20 squad, but rather just use our ODI squad... We already whitewashed in ODIs before, so I don't think much has changed since our previous whitewash. Even our Test 3-0 isn't that surprising considering we could've whitewahsed them last time we toured there as well, if not for a great innings by Chandimal. I am dreading watching another Ind-SL series, this time at home.
jf1gp_1 Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 ODi for sure. Also expected them to draw one test.
