In my opinion, Kohli has passed the stage where only lack of a world cup k.o. performance can be held against him.

no a dominant WC performance has to be in your CV. After all its the premier tournament in ODIs and every other ODI legend has had one dominant WC. Without it, there will always be a void.

This thread is an insult to god. The OP should apologize and plead for forgiveness. What ignorance to even put the two in the same sentence? Sachin was the ultimate - never before and never again will we see a player of that caliber. Kohli will never surpass Sachin in anything.

Also, Sachin played against better bowlers and harder pitches. Today, everyone and their granny scores near 300. Might as well just play on a highway and replace the ball every 10 overs.

You are talking like Tendulkar played 30 years ago. He played till 2013 so he also played those poor bowlers and encountered flat pitches.

Sachin would average a 100 if he played in this era. In fact, I don't think he would ever get out on these pitches and against these bowlers.
