Ashwin had recently returned from injury and to this day is not full rehabilitated. Jadeja picked for LOIs- we all know he's hit and miss in that format. Has beens in Dhoni and Yuvi propping up our middle order. Too many passengers and hence wheels came off in matches against SL and Pakistan.

SL was the perplexing one. Pak was big game nerves and not batting first straight forward trashing. You gotta give it to them, sound trashing at that. But SL is not an average team especially in tests they are deceptively good. You need to play very good cricket to trash them like India has done.

 

In ODI and T20 i think India in India is too much for them. Good that they won one game..

I feel sad with decline of Sri Lanka cricket team. There was a time when beating Sri Lanka was tough both home and away, especially in ODIs, winning an ODI series against them was not easy at all.

 

It seems with departure of heroes like Murali, Jayasuriya, De Silva and Vaas, the team has lost that vitality which them so tough to beat.

Srinlanka never really competed even in ODIs in India.

I meant the loss against SL.

They saved a Test on day 5. They had us reeling in test 1. Decimated us in one of the ODI. They did way better than what they did in SL.
