Bet dhoni at his peak won't be able to score 32 ball century.

Yep he can't.. Even Afridi can so Pant  > Dhoni

I bet  sachin Can :phehe:  30(100) obviously losing us match in that process

 Two Shahid Afridi fans found.

Pant is no way like Afridi. Afridi relied on power more. Pant has timing and power both. He actually has wide range of shots. Those who say he has no offside game know nothing about cricket. An attacking left handed batsman will always whack anything on stumps or legs to legside. I haven't seen him hack offside deliveries.

Lmao.. :phehe::phehe:

Even badrinath averages 50+ in FC and atleast he doesn't hack everything to leg side...

Yeah bro. Few of us already know he was going through some bad form and lack of confidence. Rest were just happy dhoni is safe and enjoying failure of a young talented batsman.

Pant was never competing with Dhoni for a spot .I have argued here few times , he's an LOI opener and won't do well in the middle order .

But team management consider him for middle order. So he is/was competing with dhoni. Even if not if he gets to the team as an opener and does well dhoni's spot would still be in danger . Better to be safe than sorry. :laugh:

Have been saying the best thing for india and pant is that hes let to open . His game is more suited for that with the number of aerial shots he plays he needs the help of powerplays .He may develop into a more versatile batsmen in few years , but at this point the mgmt should look at easing him into a role where he can succeed ...unfortunately the priority is make life comfortable for seniors like rohit and dhawan .

Dhoni should not be in T20 side , no doubt ..but his replacement should probably be hooda or sarfraz , not pant .

The mgmt is stupid and have no intention of developing any youngster .

You know very well Dhonis spot is assured even if pant does well in the middle order , pant can still continue to play as a batsmen and no one will question that .

Good to see him back in form. Seriously, selectors have screwed up big time with this guy. Unnecessarily dropped him from T20 team.

Because he has no offside game. Slogs everything towards cow corner. :phehe:

He can get away with that while facing trash Indian domestic trundlers. In the international scene, he'll be eaten alive by bowlers with half a brain.

If he is bowled outside off stump he will play accordingly. Since he is always looking for runs and big hits, he will pick cow corner since it's a natural slog spot for deliveries on stumps or down leg.

It is great to see him back in form.  It will be great for his confidence!  They should've given him more chances when he was first dominating, but did not.  He went through a crisis (father's death, drop in form) and is working his way back.  Kudos to him, but let us not forget that this is the Himachal Pradesh attack.  If he keeps playing like this against better bowlers, he will get his place.
