2 edged boundaries off of Pandya, and scorecard fans will cluelessly post a few hours later about Pandya 'leaking' runs.

For these manipulative fans, Pandya is definitely leaking runs even though:

^ certainly better than Ishant Sharma in this match...

Good thing is that the pace brigade will be off his back now as they’ll target Kuldeep. And that’s what they should’ve done right from the beginning as Kullu was selected in place of Yaddu...

As I mentioned on one of the threads, we have bigger problems to worry about than Pandya. We should start out with picking the 5 best batsmen, 4 best bowlers + the best WK option based on conditions. If these specialist slots are not optimized, there is no point in bothering about Pandya's slot, which actually lends balance to the 11

Here too, he picked up the game with 3 of the 4 specialist bowlers not performing. In fact, his effectiveness in terms of SR is close to Shami's .... Shami and Pandya have been our best bowlers today

I am happy that Kuldeep played as I don't think that the inclusion of Yadav could have made a dramatic difference. I don't have huge confidence in Ashwin and Jadeja in these conditions. Looking at the future, Kuldeep can be developed as a spinner who can chip in most conditions and can be destructive in conditions that favor him. This will be a good learning experience for him .... I started a thread where I discussed Ind's tour to Down Under in 91-92. There Shane Warne went for a lot in his first test. As long as Kuldeep can come back strongly, it is ok

Yadav could easily have picked 1-2 wickets especially he troubles woakes. 130/5 to 350 is criminal. This seemed like NZ 2013-14 redux.

Yeah, I forgot about that. So why are they scoring more runs than our batting all-rounder.

They are playing at home and not facing anderson and broad. When England were in India, our bowling alrounder Jayant Yadav scored a 100 against them. Their alrounder Stokes did zilch. And you are forgetting conditions. India batted in completely different conditions.
