Pujara before lunch

Pandya before close of play

India are a bit ahead. Pant and ashwin needs to see out the first half hour tomorrow and score. Need at least 400. Can't get bowled out for 350.

if our batsmen applied their mind for 20 overs in our first innings at lords , we could have easily drawn the game

Forget Lord's it was a terrible day to bat on. If England batted first, they wouldn't have scored over 200 either. But the first match was there for the taking, a little bit of application from the batsmen and we would be 1-1 in this series. The conditions were tough at Edgbaston but still 194 was achievable.

If he's just below Saha he should play every match. His batting has looked good and on friendlier pitches he would be deadly. Could be our very own Gilchrist.

If the umps had balls, we would never have taken the field. It was pathetic we had to go on and off the field every 10 minutes. Players are called off. Pujara and Kohli are called back once they reach the boundary. Pujara gets run out. Players get called off the field again.

I haven't seen much against spinners, but he's very good. Not as good as Saha but up there. He also takes one handed stunners like Saha.

Challenge will be these conditions though. But I have seen him dive so that's a start

Happy with day's play ,if we somehow get to 340-350 ,it'll be a really good total .

This is not a patta by any means ,just see the ball was jagging and pitch was responsive once the new ball was taken

I think the pitch is starting to quicken up a bit. It was quite easy paced in the first two sessions but they got good carry and swing with the second new ball. Tomorrow might a bowling day. I reckon 350 might be a good total here.

Disappointed with pandya ,did all the hard work but got into a shell just to survive at the eod, should have left the ball ,it was a leavable delivery .he's gotta make these 20s into 50+score else time is running out quickly for him
