never liked Ponting and McGrath in their playing days even though respected and feared them.

 

However have a great liking for them now after they have retired. Seem like nice guys.

 

Mark Waugh the opposite, one of my favorite batsman to watch. Even his fielding was elegant. However comes across as a himbo/klutz from his commentary, total contrast as a player.

There was no telecast of cricket matches being played overseas then.Lillee never toured India.DD used to show highlights of his bowling in half hour news slot.The last 10 minutes of news had all the brilliant batting and bowling highlights.Radio was only continuous source of ball to ball commentary.
