:phehe:but distance is in itself the circumference of the circle(rahuls career)

Means ,its all over,only a miraculous domestic season can put him back in the reckoning,

On a serious note Rahul cannot learn the trades by just being in the team,he needs to sweat it out in Domestics make his case again,he is one hell of a talent,deeply gutted by his recent form story

He was given a decent run off late can't deny that,if we as his fans can question others for their poor form and demand kl's inclusion then it will be quite unfair on our part  if we remain silent on his mediocre run when there are others who are waiting for their chance after toiling hard in domestics and A tours

But even if he makes tons of runs in Ranji cricket in India(which he has already done btw), there is no guarantee he will score runs in SENA countries because test cricket over there is a completely different ball game altogether. Best bet for him is to go play county cricket like Pujara did and focus less on limited overs cricket but I doubt he will cut down on IPL or LOIs.

Reminds of Robin Uthappa's downfall.

Serious talent but cluttered mind. Test cricket is serious cricket. If you are not totally committed to the game, you will be found out in no time.

People get carried away looking at Kohli's glamorous life but the amount of efforts he puts in towards his game is just mind-boggling.

This thread is unduly harsh.  Yes, he has slumped and slumped badly.  The weakness to that in-coming ball has completely messed up his mental approach to the ball.  Needs to improve.

But let's not get carried away and bash him unfairly.  waitamint that's the ICF specialty - yesterday's golden boy quickly becomes today's pinata.  Rinse repeat.

Mark my words, a few months down the road, the same crowd will have its pitchforks for Rishabh.

My worry is ppl here are so technically Jhand that they are blaming his Insta Life n all

Saalo ko ye samajh nhin aadmi na 24 ghanta INSTA pe hota hai na INSTA 24 ghanta leta hai , lagta hai inhone ne kabhi Instagram use nhin kia jo pura din uspe baithe hote hai

Pata nhin Inko Technical problem men nidhi aggerwal aur instagram kaha se dikhta hai

problem with rahul is he himself is  technically Jhand when comes to batting :phehe:

* cant play incoming balls

* flashy cover drives of the balls going towards first slip

* clueless vs spin

  • The combined average of the openers is 18
  • In a combined 42 innings, they only have 1 50+ score

As for KL, just 1 50+ score in 18 inning. Now take 149 out and his avg would be similar to Vijay's :dontknow:

Massive respect to vk who dated and married a top actress, rubbed shoulders with rich and powerful, started his own brands, sledged the f out of opposition, became captain ... and yet stayed focussed on his batting and just kept getting better.

I guess international cricket is also about the temperament combined with skill.

Get a feeling Rahul was attracted to the glamour and dropped the ball on the game side.
