This comparison is unfair but then again Dhoni's fanboys should stop nitpicking on Pant whenever Pant does bad comparing him with Dhoni

Today the shameless Cricbuzz commies were saying that We need better replacement for Dhoni in ODIs as Pant isnt taking customary catches,too..I mean,How shameless someone can be??We arent asking them to worship him as he scored 150 but then please be reasonable.

Link to that cricbuzz please. Those shameless chamchas only post positive comments of dhoni and take every opportunity to belittle Pant.

you replied to my comment with some totally irrelevant thing  ..

and now running in circles :phehe:

about pant .. he might score more test centuries than dhoni and he might very well score more test centuries for the winning cause than sachin as well :aha:

People tend to love/hate dhoni for the same reason. He had a limited technique but street smart cricket intelligence and he made the most of it. He looks like a gully cricketer which causes hatred/jealousy. He was the best ind had from 2004 to 2012 13. Even in tests, his avg was 40 plus as captain. I will give you some of his near miss centuries in SENA, 1st test 2010 in sa (his best test innings imo),1st test eng 2014, plenty of good 50+ in eng in loosing cause. He was the best ind had that time. No point denying that. Pant has unlimited potential. Dhoni too was a bad keeper to begin with like Pant, but he improved. Let's hope Pant can replicate Dhoni's records in all formats and better it.

Dhoni became very powerful politically for a few years. Any captain would do preferences, and do he did. Not a thing to be proud of for any of his fans. He was the best limited overs captain ever in the history of the game, considering the bowling he had in his disposal. It's a mixed bag.

I personally could never hate upon an india cricketer. Was and is still his fan, but he should go now.

Pant played excellent today but both his centuries came in relatively pressureless situation, one was a gone case, another a sure shot victory. Will look forward to him finishing test chases for India, like the one he missed in Southampton. His footwork is a bit shoddy as keeper. The thing is he is 21. Gilchrist was a late bloomer, considering that, pant could become the greatest keeper batsman in the history of the game. Let's hope for that.

if he can avg around 40-45 and prove to be a safe keeper, will be amply satisfied with that. he does not have to become gilly or flower.
