The thing with PAK batting is that everyone expects to suck 24*7* 365, that when they manage to have a good day when setting a tartget, the opposition tends to panic. Even when the conditions favor chasing such scores.

 

Thankfully afetr CT'17 India won't be panicing again. They would have learnt their lesson. 350 is par on most of these grounds.

England were 74 in 10 overs.  They have just about doubled their score in 5 overs.  

 

Middle overs with 4 outfielders, are a power-play.  Not the time to consolidate and 'save wickets' for the end.  This is the epiphany that England had, and have lived, with their batting tactics. 

 

Its not just about batting depth, its about tactics and approach.

Pitches don't change their nature overnight.   They essentially are what they are.

His "big conversions" are once in 10 games.  8 out of 10 games, he gets out after 26(45) or similar crap.  Lottery tickets don't get to open the batting for India.  Reliable consistent producers do.   And the last 12 months have been a slump for Brohit.

He's usually a flop show chasing high totals or against string bowling attacks.
