Zen is reverse-maniac when it comes to Rohit.  Bias works both ways.

I forgot the name of the other dude who was Anti-Rahane. All hell would have broken lose if Rahane would have been picked in this wc.

They are going to keep bowling at the off stump channel. He gets sucked into it regardless of the quality of the bowler. He just has to stop playing this dab to third man for a while. Find a way to keep those balls off.

A couple of 70+ scores at the right time, and if the rest of the team stands up, we can win it.

This !! You need to be a big match player .. sachin was ! Kohli needs to be !

I think if we somehow make it to semis then it's anybody's game. Considering each team plays other only once , it's to our advantage.. kudeep, chahl and bumrah are wicket takers. So if you get wickets it will throw teams off guard especially those who are used to go big like england..

I think we stand a chance in our own unique way like csk  of 2018. Hitman and kulcha  will be key.

Some guy actually posted that Rohit is "unfairly" taking up openers' slot and it should be Rahane's.  After yesterday's game was over.  We get all the masala flavors on ICF.

Yeah, legend. Thanks

I probably wouldn't have remembered him, but he troll voted me yesterday when I said Rahane is the best slip catcher for spinners from the present Indian team  :cantstop:

I said either Rahul or Rahane. And I mean anybody else too. Yes he is unfairly taking up openers slot, no matter how many runs he makes there

All teams have a simple plan. Keep it on or around the off stump with a slip. He must find a way to stop getting out in that region. He is too good a batsman to miss out in this world cup. I don't want this odd weakness preventing him from having a great world cup.  His instinctive tap to the third man is plugged by all teams now.

it's not really a special weakness, as in everyone has that, that is what happens in the play. I am sure he will hit a couple of centuries within the next few games.

My one day openers are people who can open in tests too. Hayden, Anwar, Sehwag, Gambhir, Jayasuriya, Kirsten , Mark Waugh....I hope you get the drift.

Teams do try aggressive openers , one of the two, in ODI who do not open in tests, but in that case the opener is supposed to hit and accelerate. Gilchrist, kalu, Dickwella, Sarkar, Finch,

Rohit doesn’t accelerate and he doesn’t not fit in my definition of a classy opener for ODI. KL Rahul is my preferred option. Doesn’t mean any disrespect to Rohit. It’s based on his playing style.

We are discussing a game which can have million plus permutations and combinations. So highly likely that your choice be very different from mine.

Mark Waugh doesn't open in tests.

So, no Tendulkar or M Waugh or Amla as ODI openers for you?
