Kohli's form - A concern?

VK does not look like in his imperious best. He was struggling in IPL as well and now getting out to trundlers like DeGrandhomme, Saifuddin and Pheluwakayo. The amount of time he spend in the middle yesterday, didn't look fluent at all. Kohli lost his form at a bad bad time when he needed him the most

Long way to go, if he fails 3-4 times in succession such a thread is justified, not now. He is a great ODI batsman, can't go missing in his 3rd WC and probably 10th ICC event, right now at the peak of his powers. I won't mind if he finds his mojo in the latter part of this long campaign.

I fully expect Kohli to have a sub-par WC - by his standards.  He'll still end up averaging around 35+, and give us nice contributions here and there.  With a  couple of big ones.  Expecting him to carry the batting lineup every day every tournament is far fetched anyway.

If u wanna knw whats loss of form its what happen to rahul....mental n technical issues

Nothing like that for kohli, start having such post when a player is struggling to middle the ball

Unfortunately, a batsman can get out to a good ball or a great catch or simply through a lapse in concentration .... on the other hand, you can get a 100 by even struggling to put bat on ball early on, getting 3-4 lives, and cashing on selected bowlers

I don’t think Kohli has looked bad at the crease. Needs to benefit from a bit of luck too at times

For India's and his own sake, I hope this turns out to be false. Ind needs atleast 3 100s from in this tournament

oh I would love to be wrong.  One-man teams rarely win in the WC though. Let's hope the entire team stands up at different times and gets the job done.  Like 'slow' Rohit did in Game 1.

It's not about one man show, he can lead from the front and inspire others to perform as well. As I said 3 100s are bare minimum expectation from him. A middling WC from him and India fails in this tournament.

A couple of 70+ scores at the right time, and if the rest of the team stands up, we can win it.

May be consider moving himself to 4 and Rahul at 3.

Thats panic and India hasn't lost a game yet to do such crazy things. Also all these years Kohli batted at three, why would you change that now for just one tournament just because its called "World Cup". Doesn't make sense. That whole idea to worry about changing slot for a tournament is what you call "panic". That should never happen.

He is the best number three to ever play the game. He owns that slot. Let him bat there.

For a game or two. Not permanently.

Best no 3 - arguably. Ponting is right up there too

Ponting was brilliant. Kohlii has surpassed. Kohli far more consistent. Anyway, I hate to compare though. I like Ponting actually and would pick him in my all time world x1 to bat at four. but then again, I hate the concept of world x1, where lot of great players miss out. I guess its not fair to compare diff eras.
