Our batting approach is perfect for Old Trafford wicket. Highest score here is 318by Lanka many years ago. Since 2015, English pitches in general may have become motorways but Manchester has bucked that trend. Highest score since 2015 has been 300/8 by England. In fact, the mighty English lineup struggled to chase 209 here against an OZ lineup that had no zampa, Starc or Cummins and only managed to win thanks to a otherworldly knock by jos buttler. 

 

Chasing is extremely difficult here and while our slow approach may backfire at places like TB , Southampton , and Oval, here it's a match winning one.
