chewy Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 in genuine sense, game was lost in 1st innings between overs 10 to 20, when KulCha were massacred by Roy and Bairstow, Eng score 100 runs!!!!! but in reality game was lost after India beat Afghan, this was surgical strike to kickout Pak India showed zero intent in the field, even Chahal didn't bowl hardly any googlies, Jadhav didn't bowl when leggies were been pulverised at 10 rpo
Iconoclast Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 The game was lost when Virat took Shami out of the attack prematurely. If he would have gotten early wickets the whole complexion of the game would have changed. I am really beginning to see that he is a bad captain,

Deleted_User_1 Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 There is no plan B. India will probably get in the semis, but this team is not worthy of a cup. Yoda-esque, Suhaan and maniac 1 2

cowboysfan Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 our batting is not great, our spinners have been match winners for a long time now and when they suck we are already behind the eight ball .
JourneyMan Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Extra bowling options. Kohli didn't use Jadav at all, maybe because he had no faith in his bowling (in which case why play him). He might as well have selected Jadeja. When one or two of your guys are being hammered all over the ground, its good to have an additional option. Ten low scoring overs from Jadeja, who has always enjoyed success vs England, might have closed the 30-run gap.

YES Thats exactly what will happen . Would be good for indian cricket in shorter format

Adi BB Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Well there are plenty if points so where to start from ? 1) aleem darr giving Roy not out and dhoni rejecting drs.england would have been 50/1 in 11 and wouldn't have even reached 300 ,Roy completely dismantled our bowlers from there on. 2)we conceded 120 in the last 13 overs ,they were 216/3 on 37 ,not too different to India .we could have contained stokes with better plans and restricted them to 320 but then with a start of 180/1 in 26 ,you'd expect a team to cross 350 at least . 3) slow start ,we missed dhawan big time today ,Raul is just too timid and not confident about his technique to survive the new ball, so he starts cautiously ,5 overs 9/1 is a horrible start chasing 338 ,dhawan would have at least scores a quick 25 at bare minimum. 4) Dhoni and jhadav-they are so outdated and just not cut for intl cricket and this level .Even Bangladesh, Pakistan have better batsmen than them.I dont want to talk further about them . 5) pant and rohit got out at the wrong time ,Rohit especially when we were 198/2 ,it was the perfect time to launch am assault. 6) Morgan smartly underbowled Rashid bhai here knowing the consequences against pant and pandya very well

I am really beginning to see that he is a bad captain, This is a good point actually ,only he looked like picking a wkt especially bairstow's. Also in the middle phase ,when shami looked in form and picked 2 wkts ,he should have been used for an extra over or 2 and get that important wkt of stokes,he anyhow would still have 2 overs remaining in the death. Kohli is too rigid, adamant to play with a fix plan even if the writing is clear on the wall ,he is hellbent in using bumrah's 5 overs in the death ,what's the use if the batsmen are set till then ?? Also finishing chahal's full quota .chahal is a bowler who is stubborn and bowls flighted half volleys even after getting smashed ,we have seen that for an year or two now ,kohli shouldn't have given him the final over at all when he's clearly not on song .
