Saw the match today . Looks like a batting pitch with some help for Tahir .

Should we go in with four Seamers and Jadeja on a batting pitch which may turn into swing assist pitch ? Need to bat deep - New Zealand is a dangerous opponent

As NZ hasn’t played them in WC, I’ll go with Kul-Cha... Jaddu in place of KKD... Shami in place of Bhuvi...

Pant needs to step up...

KLR

Rohit

Kohli

Pant / KKD

HaPa

Dhoni

Jaddu

Chahal

Shami

Kuldeep

Bhumrah

I truly believe TM could throw the 15 eligible team members name in a hat, draw out 11 and that side would beat at least 80% of ICF fans' lineups.

They played them a lot before wc

think the way spinners were spanked today , think 3 seamers and jaddu is bare minimum

kuldeep i i dont have faith on slow pitch - chahal yes but given weather feel shami bumrah kumar / jaddu and Pandya with chahal / jaddu is a god combo

Spin is what killed NZ the last time we played them on their pitches. Kuldeep and Chahal. The Jadeja/Chalal will be just as effective.

Shami must be bowled out before the 40th over.

5 bowlers in Bumrah Shami Pandya Jaddu and Chalal.

Batting we can bat down to number 8 with Jaddu.

Hitman/KL must show respect to Boult who broke India into two pieces in the 4th ODI in NZ earlier this year. Once they see him through they can attack the rest.

Jaddu only performed today because we were playing on a used pitch. There is a reason we moved beyond him and Ashwin after CT 17. He was still darting it at >90 KPH, same as before. Its just that the playing surface was very Subcontinental in nature.

I'd go with Kulcha for the KOs since we're not playing at Edgbaston. Both the wristies will be tought o go after on a fresh pitch at OT and Lord's. My XI would be:

  1. Rohit
  2. Rahul
  3. Kohli
  4. Pant
  5. DK
  6. Hardik
  7. MSD
  8. Kuldeep
  9. Shami
  10. Bumrah
  11. Chahal

Intresting shami gets 2 spots in your team where as in kohli's xi i doubt he will get even one.

It’ll be tough with only 5 bowlers.. I don’t see the merit in playing KDK... Would rather have an all rounder or a bowler who can bat a bit in his place. Either play Bhuvi or Jaddu in his place...

batting is a big issue ...we are heavily dependent on top 3 to score else its just way to difficult.

Agree. But if top order fail, can’t trust KKD or any middle order batsmen to bail out. We don’t have much choice. KKD did bat the other day but got out early. Having an extra bowler can help to Kohli if one or two bowlers have off day...

That's double standard. You are dropping Jadeja but keeping Kuldeep who has done as bad as Jadeja in CT 2017. On a flat pitch, they will get thrashed as much as Jaddu and Ashwin in 2017 as they are not big Turners of the ball.

Jadhav should play in place of Kkd.

Why would you drop Pant. He is the one who has kept scoreboard going in middle overs.

Ill go with Shami n Bumrah and Kulcha. Will back kuldeep despite him being avg till now ........among bhuvi , jadeja, kuldeep he is one who can get bunch of wkts in a matter of few balls . Manchester till also hasnt been a slow wkt .....its been a good batting wkt so will go with kuldeep

The only problem i see is 6th bowler so one among jadhav n jadeja has to play

Jadeja isnt much of batsman , may be he can be used better with bat.....he can bat around 5 coz its very clear for 10 yrs he cant bat at 7

Jadhav isnt much of bowler
