Pak under 19's 7-0 white wash to SA, Pak is good or South Africa is rubbish

After beating SL 3-2, in SL, Pakistan under 19 went to South Africa and beat them 7-0 with big margins. Pakistan under 19 teams in recent years have not been very impressive but they say this team is different. They have one "international standard" opening batsman ( according to SA coach ) and a fast bowing "sensation" . Still I'm not convinced unless they perform better than last time in under 19 WC when they looked minnows. Not sure what to make out of this 7-0 white wash ?

Not surprising. The Asian countries generally do better at U19 level than at senior level. Raw talent is what counts at this level. Also there is a lot of craze among the youth regarding cricket. In few cases they benefit from age fudging too. 

 

The challenge is to translate the talent to performance at senior level. This is were countries like Aus and NZ excel at. Even with limited supply of talent at youth level their system produces a highly competitive national team.

On a serious note this is a good achievement but both India and Pakistan have age related issues going on for ages. (pun intended)

SA is going Zimbabwe's way. Quota's for blacks. Attacks on white farmers. In future they will definitely become a minnow and that's why they lost so badly.

7-0 defeat , that too for home country. Serious concern about SA's cricketing future.
