Peshust Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) One welcome change in maturity of cricket fans across India (though some people may just be tired of too much cricket)- Agarwal's double century has been applauded but not too celebrated. Everybody recognises that the opposition is weak and tougher tests await Agarwal in places like England. But as a long time cricket watcher, I remember likes of Gagan Khoda, Devang Gandhi and even Sadagopan Ramesh being feted for making attractive 50s ( though Ramesh did it against good bowling attack too). While time will tell if Agarwal is the real McCoy (seems iffy against swing), he seems to have moxie (seems much better mentally than Karun Nair)and that itself could bring him success.
