Got scholarship, went to US, completed his degree and then returned to work as Lecturer in a University. Due to his liberal views, the Islami Jamiaat Students wing blamed him for blasphemy. Today Pakistani Court has sentenced him for 10 years of prison. After 10 years of prison punishment, he will he hanged. ==== I knew Junaid indirectly. Jail authorities feared that Junaid will get killed by mobs outside jail if acquitted. Remember imrans speech in UN on how people can't understand Muslims' love for Muhammad and how much pain they get when someone says anything on Muhammad. Justifying 'blasphemy' laws and murders for 'blasphemy'.... putting blasphemy in quotes because what's portrayed as blasphemy may be one hundred percent factual information and the inferences drawn, to which Muslims are intolerant. Where were you hiding when these laws are in the news for the last 20-30 years!

But if you dare to criticise Islam or Muhammad, (or even dare to leave Islam openly) then it is enough to kill you in name of blasphemy. Perhaps you could understand it from here: 1. Ex-Muslims are even much more hated than Ahmadis, while Ahmadis are much more hated than all other non-Muslims including Hindus and Christians. 2. Ex-Muslims are not harassed, but Muslims try to kill them directly. 3. Do you know "Mashal Khan"? He was a bright student, but he was killed by his class mates.
