Should India blindly rely on Bumrah in super overs?

17 runs last match and 13 runs this match in the super over from Bummers.

Prior match he has a nightmare , so the 17 made sense.

But today 4 overs 20/1 was a very good performance. Still went for 13 runs.

If not for NZ keeping trust with an even more abysmal Southee, India would have lost both games.

So the key question is, should India look beyond Bumrah? Is he suited to the super over?

Depends upon form. If Bumrah is bowling well, yes. If not, the one having a great day. Someone like Saini can be an option too

Super over requires ability to hit yorkers at Will.

A fat, old and pregnant Malinga  would be  Getting the super over 9/10 times in any league still.

Unless Saini steps up every game and displays the same ability of bowling yorkers, Bumrah it is.

Yes

It happens everywhere. Look at NZ who keeps going to Southee. Look at England in the WC Final, archer didn’t bowl that well in the death and they still chose him in the super over and he gave away 16 runs.

Bumrah induced 3 catches in the first 4 balls of today's super over.

Only 1 was taken.

And the last ball was a good yorker.

But that is not Bumrah's typical length in death overs.
