No you cannot build any team with 4 number XI bowlers even if they are Glen Mcgraths.Thakur will always be in the mix due to his ability with bat.

Yes even Shami went for runs as was the case with Kuldeep(Kuldeep is really down)but Shami has also taken wickets upfront and turned matches upside down in several occasions but Shardul has normally gone for plenty in every match ,teams wait for his turn to feast on big

Haha, it's good to laugh at one's self sometimes. Today's game is not entirely bad, at-least our batters did a good job with Dhawan-Rohit out and Kohli making just a 50. We recovered from a crushing loss in the Aus series. Maybe we can do it now also.

You don't need no8 or 9 for batting

While defending a target you need proper bowlers to make a match out of it

we cant also make a team in which 2 out of 5 bowlers dont take wkt. We are only left with 3 bowlers + half half bowlers at cost of some batting which will come in play once in 20 games that to for 20-25 runs which wont be sufficient on every occasion . If 20/25 game ratio is taken ...in that ratio once in while even slogs from shmi, saini, kuldeep will come through

 

Jadeja is ineffective

Thakur is ineffective n expense 

We dont even have 6th bowling option

Plus our fielding is also leaking runs

We did not play  5 Thakurs, we played 4 frontline bowlers on a ground where scoring is very easy. Your assumption that Saini somehow would have won this match is wrong. Nobody stopped Bumrah, Shami or Kuldeep from taking wickets.

 

There is always a balance needed when building a team, when the frontline bowlers are total mugs with bat , you have to resort to bits and pieces players for balance.Kulcha was broken up for same reason.

Shami highest score is 25 more than thakur . Did you check Thakur bowlines avg 51. Even bng & zim have Better bowler. He is proper medicore

Would you care to answer this,How many off days has Shardul been through till now?

Shardul went for 80 runs (thats his normal service)

Kuldeep too went for 84 runs (surely he's down but has won us matches so many times)

Shardul has always been crap so what if he could bat,does he bring insurance of scoring that many runs as a supposed allrounder?

Did you check their SRs  Thakur is 162 and Shami is 80 .

There is a lack of quality in the ODI bowling reserves. Bumrah , Shami should have been rested here for the upcoming test series. Thakur would have made it anyway and screwed up. We need better, the likes of Khaleel and Siraj won't do either.

Shardul played 9 matches in three years, you are sounding as if he is playing every match of every series. Do we have any allrounder in this squad?
