vvvslaxman Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 This guy was auctioned for 1 crore. When i see this guy he looks terrible. Fugly foot work. No real confident body language. How is this guy made it to under-19 level? Vijy 1
Global.Baba Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I think he had a stellar start to his domestic career at the senior level. Will give him more time before writing him off. Bad patches happen. AuxiliA and raki05 2

Cricketics Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Ishan Kishan had a ordinary world cup with the bat also as a captain but did well after that. These things happen in under 19 world cup as you are leading your side at a very young age and aren’t able to perform at your best as a captain. raki05 1
SUMO Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Unpopular Opinion His captaincy was sharp and proactive. He was calm n cool in crunch moments inspite of his own batting failure. But he doesnt even deserve to be in the team based on his battin.

Bcz he wasnt good enough whereas Pant evolved quickly in first class, A tour and test cricket.
Vijy Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 garg had a very bad tourney with the bat, but he is better than this. did well in all 3 formats for UP, and I saw a couple of highlights for knocks made for relatively bowling-friendly pitches. raki05 and Ankit_sharma03 2
adi B Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Whatever little I saw his batting ,he looked nervous and jittery. Bit harsh but Looks like a sifarshi player
Param Mastishk Pheeka Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Priyam Garg. Priyank Panchal. Priyam Panchal. Priyank Garg. So confusing. Sgattick10, beetle, nevada and 1 other 4

Ankit_sharma03 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 (edited) I have seen him bat in domestic....he is pretty good. There is a bit if prithvi shaw in his batting. Any one can have a bad tournament. I knw the opp is tripura but still scoring a 200 in that age against a ranji side Edited February 9, 2020 by Ankit_sharma03 raki05 1

Vickydev Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 His performances could be down to nerves. He played couple of clutch innings against SA and then the tri series. Anyway he would need to perform big time in domestic and A team before he comes anywhere close, just like he would have to if he had smashed it in this world cup. Let's wait and see if he can. raki05 1
ShoonyaSifar Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 He batted twice in the u-19 WC and you've concluded he's not good enough? The guy has a FC average of 67 and a List A avg of 47. Flopped at a major tournament, but that can happen to anyone. He's a whole career ahead of him. Do watch his batting in Ranji Trophy before reaching such conclusions. raki05 1

I have seen him playing few good knock in quardengular series just before wc. He made century against sa and nz as well in that series. Probably he went out of form just at the right time.

But no, he's **** because you saw him in two matches where he didn't click. Caught the Ranji highlights too. He doesn't really have a great deal of feet movement.
