People praising Gang bang T20 cricket, Butler and Stokes batting was responsible for this loss. When they had RRR in check, there was no need to go hammer and tongs when you know there is no batting after Samson. This was not sensible from them. They could have played responsibly rorating strike and winning this sanely. This was Chutiyapa from them today against DC.

Buttler got a good ball. In fact if he had tried those ramp shots he would have survived. He chose to play defense and lost his stumps. Stokes choked. He could have taken the game deep with Samosn playing the fancy shots. Or maybe the RR managemnet thought with wickets in hand its better to keep the run rate going as spin could have slowed down the run rate. And sending uthappa at 5 is a blunder. 5,6,7 should have high strike rates. parag and tewatia should have been sent and find a replacemetn for uthappa. he screwed KKR last time against the bambis in a must win game and now RR.

Butler played the wrong line probably distracted by those crazy ramp shots. Stokes tried to get over long on skied a simple catch, Sanson too played wrong line on backfoot to a dart. My point is the target was not 180+ to take so many risks when you know how weak your MO is. Sometimes playing sensibly gets you through low scores. RCB beat RR chasing 154 losing only 2 wickets going till 20th over. Chasing Glory is not more important than winning the match boringly nevertheless.

In cricket, batsmen can get out in a variety of ways. What is your point - if a target is 160 odd, teams chase it down w/o losing a wkt? Because every wkt lost is due to some error most of the times and they have played recklessly   .... Smith got out trying to play for turn (not a big shot), Parag was run out due to Uthappa, Samson got out trying to cut the ball for a few runs, ....

On RCB v RR, you are talking about a game played at a time when captains would prefer to field first than now when they prefer to bat first .... People know that pitches are getting tougher to bat as the game progresses so scoring in death overs can be relatively more difficult .... It is not about getting out or not out but doing the best when you are at the crease

Listen to what Deep says. This was a pitch where there was a need for a set batsman to play through. They botched it up with unnecessary shots and bad batting at the top. Their batting order is also to blame, . Blaming one mujrim for their loss is not correct.

No one can guarantee that a set batsman will play till the end. No one can even guarantee if he would not get out on the next ball (even if he had blocked the ball he got out to - and batsmen have got out just trying to get singles in the game)

Also in a game there are various stages where you try to attack those who are not bowling well (it is not like as if RRR is 8 so you would take exactly 8 runs every over  )
