@mishraji You were asking about this in the 'Indian Media' thread.

So regulated content is what we shall have now. Lets see how this pans out, and what exactly is the nature of the regulation.

Not surprised that everyone is talking about regulation of content. That is the least relevant part, though the most emotive.

Under Clause 3 of Article 77, the regulation *can* extends to all aspects of business.

For example, it *can* be argued that the Regulatory body has the authority to decide pricing/ marketing guidelines for OTT shows, within the auspices of the said law. It *could* cap ad rates for Online News. It *could* decide minimum wages for certain types of technical jobs.

Given that Bollywood and theatre based film industry in general are dying ( even pre covid) due to the large scale reach of OTT platforms, is this a Government move to make more money off/ control these platforms of mass reach?

Politicians pimp and sleaze their way to money and they want to curb nude scenes and abuses on ott services. Pathetic.

Really hate seeing partially blurred movies n series. If anyone here has watched The Vikings on Netflix you might have already seen how it looks like. Netflix in India has censored version Of that show.. Even a character cutting a fish was blurred out.
