i am in favour of SAHA playing, he scored a ton in the previous practice match. he has a better technique as a batsman in a test Match.

 

Secondly he is a much safer keeper than Pant. did you notice today he ran for 15 yards to take a catch today. The fat Pant would not have even tried to run. Pant slogs well for sure but at present saha is a better keeper for tests. Lets see who will be picked.

 

As far as I know no captain picks a wrong keeper. Most captains are partial but when it comes to picking a keeper , captains want to be correct. I expect lots of diving catches to be coming and i expect saha to do a better job on that.

Saha scored a 50 not 100 and against fast bowling pant is good but with his indifferent form and most importantly fitness saha should get the nod.

You really think that he can't move the white ball !!....If sardul can move then even you can move the ball,in that last odi the pitch was different and most importantly saini isn't a swing bowler he relies more on the seam movement.

Quite good actually started off little on the shorter side but after finding the length he was bowling good and hostile as well, few of his bouncers were really good.

Although both played good shots and timed the bowl well, somehow I am feeling uncomfortable about their approach. We were 72 in 9 overs in a practice match for test series. Then we collapsed to 9 for 123. This is not a good sign. Shaw is seen as a replica of Sehwag/Warner kind of player who can turn the match in a session but I would have loved bit more calculated approach from Gill. Spend some time there in middle. Play 100-150 balls. We need players who can stick around. Pujara has shown us time and time again. If you stick there, runs will come. This series will not see 500-600 runs in an innings. This series will be dominated by bowlers and batsmen of which team will stick around to put 350 runs will be winner.

if we were when they were batting and team was 123 -9 after they got out, its not them its others .

Scoring around vs playing attacking game is basically a way to find runs now to each to its own strength- lets not forget pujara failed in his 1st overseas cycle in every country so that method doesnt guarntee anything... a player shud back his own method and refine it

Shaw is gone for 4 in the 2nd innings. I have no problems with his approach but he just needs to fine tune his shot section. Sehwag became a great test batsman for a reason.
