I strongly suspect Aus will tweak the pitch preparation in favor of batting for this test, given the context of the series, their shitty batting, and the fact that their pacemen are experienced and high quality, while we will have 2 rookie pacemen in our bowling unit.  

 

This gives Rohit a reasonable shot in at least one of the 2 innings to put up a score, if he can survive the initial burst.  

 

That being said, if we are batting first on Day 1, the initial 'freshness' may be enough to account for him cheaply.

 

Now that he is in the side, I can't help but root for him to do well.  And let's face it - if he gets in.......

I am rooting for him to get a 50+ score tomorrow but I am afraid this might not materialise seeing Starc and Cummins bowl this series

 

2nd inns, he might score a double digit 20 before getting out to his nemesis Lyon.
