Allot of chirping happening around the victory, but this guys performance is just flying under the Radar, highest run scorer in the first innings, took 4 crucial wickets in the second Innings. On another day in another test match, this kind of performance wins you a MOM, in my reckoning he should always be around in our Test and ODI squads. He's proved his mettle and is a top notch Team man.

Not a first choice guy but an absolute champ with can do attitude whenever called for duty. Some of his shots in the first innings were too good,even a specialist batsman would have been proud of them! His partnership with Sundar changed the whole complexion of the game.

Only guy who got swing amongst both teams and was bowling at 135 kph, has aggressive streak to his bat. Swung when ball was new and old.

Bump. Scored fifty in both innings, took out Root in the fourth, started the slide by grabbing the first English wicket. He knows he may never even play two back to back tests yet he gives it his all.

They are all.in contention for team India.

 

Also Tripathi,Sen,Bawa,are also in the team whom the selectors maybe considering in future

If he instead of Pandya played all those series in 2018, then India would have had a better chance of winning in England and SA.I feel he more suited for test cricket than white ball cricket.

On current form I would have him rather than Harshal/Bhuvi, he can't be any worse bowling wise, he is better batter.

 Can be extremely expensive which is what Harshal is already doing. But he cannot open or bowl at death. Must bowl only in the middle.

Don't know how Thakur, despite his batting ability, went out of favour but Bhuvi is persisted with.

What's the idea, he's gonna be an all format bowler/all rounder since he's played some tests recently ? Better than Bhuvi/Harshal coz of flash in the pan batting doesn't cut it. Cricinfo says he has the 2nd worst economy rate in ODIs: 6.51 & 6th worst in T20s: 9.15. I know ER isn't looked at all in discussions here but it matters in LOIs.
