How many runs will India lose by today?

Chepauk Day5 pitch. The way Rohit was bowled , I don’t think we will last a whole session, let alone 3. 
 

I would say By about 200 runs

The pitch is tough but still not a minefield. Pujara's wicket will be massive tomorrow. He batted really well in the 1st inning.

The 2008 match i watched every ball. The day 5 pitch was like this tests day 3 pitch. Variable bounce and but slow spin.. the pitch gradually became better for batting every day and i remember Sachin adjusted very well and took singles.. this pitch is very different..

Not comparable. We needed 387 in 125 odd overs in 2008. Scored 130/1 by close of day 4, needed 257 on day 5 which we comfortably achieved with nearly 30 overs to go.

 

Here it is 381 in 90 overs on day 5, a RRR of 4.3..not even a 1% chance of a win unless someone plays a freak innings.

India will loose certainly. This is 5th Day indian pitch not overseas pitch, spinners would certainly play major role and looking at kohli, rahane in the middle over i don't see india reaching closer to the target.

Wont be about margin of defeat. Pujara will block all day and get a ripper right before tea

 

Pant and Washington will get out playing a rash shot.

 

Ashwin will be batting with no.10 and 11 for the last 3-4 overs and May be at the penultimate or an over before that, no.11 will meekly edge one to slips or get LBW to one of their spinners.

We've had our fair share of those in the past couple of months.  Just one more today :-)!!

 Pant may be, but Sundar isn't one to play a rash shot unless he is playing with the tail.

Kohli is definitely due for a big one..  but then the prettier Kohli has already delivered. So quota completed for the year

Ishant Sharma said we can chase this down which is nothing but big talk. To win we need 130 per session. I have never seen any team do that on 5th day. So we win is out of question. If we do lose it will be by 160 runs.

Yup this is not chaseable. Our batsmen need to cut out the lose shots and put a price on their wicket. Can’t be playing the way they did in the first inning.
